Hearing Aides for 80year old on a budget

My mom is in agreement with me that she needs hearing aides. Looking to the budget board for some advice on purchasing them on a budget, online perhaps.

I would suggest seeing an audiologist and having her hearing evaluated as the first step. Hearing aids are like micro computers and are fine tuned to amplify the right frequencies at the right volume for the wearer, depending on the hearing loss.

If she hasn't already, have her join AARP. They have a great discount plan. I took my mom to HEAR USA and they were very reasonable, as far as hearing aides go, which are not cheap. It has made a HUGE difference in my mom's world!

I don't know if this fits your budget but I thought I saw a post somewhere saying they purchased aids from Costco for under $3000.00.
