With so many topics about eating vegetarian, HFCS-free, organic...

What places offer good nutritional guides online??
I just checked out my own place of work, qdoba.com, and I was impressed with the indepth guide they have online. And the tips they offer for eating healthier there. I never guessed the tortilla shell had 330 calories, I think I'll be eating a lot more naked burritoes.

I like eating subway, earl of sandwich, and just tried Panera bread. But here and there, I hear bad things about them. I have yet to find any info on my favorite caprese wrap at Earl...

I just saw the CEO of Chipotle on Oprah a few months ago and he was talking about how they use all natural things, no processed stuff, hormone/antibiotic free meats, etc. Of course, I know they are Qdoba's competitor so I bet Qdoba also does similar practices. I'm bummed because the Qdoba in our town closed! :(

Noodles & Co. is another place that doesn't seem to use processed foods and I recall seeing detailed nutrition information in their menu. Their meats are hormone & antibiotic free, they only use soybean oil (there's really nothing fried on their menu). Also, you can get your choice of entree sizes, which is nice.

Panera Bread is another one - they are starting to display dietary info right on the big menu boards!

Of course, you can also find info on sites for McDonald's, Subway, etc. I know McDonald's has lots that's bad for you, but you can also find decent options like grilled chicken, salads, etc.

Now, I haven't checked their sites but I am betting they would definitely have nutrition information there.

I do know qdoba uses lots of fresh ingredients. We make the pico (tomato salsa) fresh every morning. And the tomatoes are delivered fresh from Tampa 3-4 times a week. Same with the avacados. Lite sour cream (daisy brand), lite picante rach dressing for the salads. All the meats are cooked fresh every day, and never frozen (which means they're used within 14 days of packaging). There's a chipolte near me, and i've eaten there a couple of times, but their meats are just a little too spicy for my liking.

The panera by me doesn't have the calorie count on the menu. But the website is pretty fun to play around with.

I've noticed for a long time that McD's and BK have nutritional guides on the back of the tray liners. Unfortantly, I'm not a fan of the sourdough bread they use for the grilled chicken sandwiches. The snack wraps have become my choice, bbq grilled chicken.

Never heard of Noodle & Co... time for a google search.

Einstein Brothers made a discussion on their facebook page, about the possibility of elimanating HFCS from their bagels, or create a seperate offering.

http://www.jasonsdeli.com/

Jason's Deli has a lot of whole/natural items as well as some organics. Plus it has regular stuff as well. It's one our favorite places to go because it covers our regular, gluten-free, vegan, vegitarian, organic and low fat eaters. (it's a big diverse group).

They do sandwiches, salads, baked potato, and soups. A few pasta dishes and for the kids organic pbj, grilled cheese and pizza.

They have free ice cream cones for dessert, it's not organic, or fat free or vegan,,LOL but it's good.

Thanks, I didn't know that about them. My aunt has one right around the corner from her place and likes to go there. Only eaten there once or twice myself. Maybe my next trip out next month I'll try something more yummy.

Oh good gosh, they have HFCS in their bagels? That explains a WHOLE lot.....gah!

Qdoba's calorie counts are some of the scariest things I've seen! I actually don't think I've been back since I looked that up a few years back...terrifying.
