hmmm... with all the brouhaha on the WDW restaurant board about the 'healthy' kids menu how did we totally overlook the change at DLRP here?:goodvibes

Actually, I think that it is partially a Disney change, but also likely driven by the new French regulations regarding 'healthy lifestyle'. As of this month all advertising for food and drink has to include a tag line about one of four healthy lifestyle choices. It must take up 7% of the print or television advert.

From everyone's experience, has the adult menu changed as well? Walt's was the one place where I could not find a veggie entree I would like, although my server kindly offered me two servings of the tomato appetizer.

from what I recall all the adult main dishes contained meat or fish at Walts.

It seems to be the under 12 menus that have changed to be healther as the teenager menu still has chips as an option.
The Counter service resturants had fruit and salades as an option however this was the first trip we had been in a CS resturant so I am not sure if this is new.

based on your input wideeyes and some other comments I have read in various posts, it seems like there is a larger menu update going on in the parks.... I suppose that we will need to wait and see if there are major changes coming, and what they are!

I do hope that they do this whole healthy eating thing sensibly. My boys are superb and apart from youngest DS not eating peas, they do both eat all kinds of veg, salads & fruit, but stewed apple was mentioned by Claire in another thread - I don't think either of mine would eat it, actually don't think I would either, although they'd both happily eat an apple, perhaps we'll see an abundance of fresh fruit in the parks, it's been rather hard to find on past trips, in our experience.
I'd love to see more veg on the menus at DLRP for children and adults but for the kids at least let's have a plain option that isn't covered in cheese, tomato or any other sauce. :)
Note for Auberge de Cendrillon, 4 French beans and 2 grilled cherry tomatoes does not equal vegetable accompaniement in my book.
........... and can we have more jacket potatos please.:goodvibes

On the kids menu that have replaced the chips with some sort of potato which comes with a burger. my dd does not eat a burger so we tended to make meals from the various options of the set meals, they seemed happy to do this for us, for example asking them to swap the burger for grilled chicken, or spaghetti for potatoes or chips. Their was 3 set meals which came with a starter, main and dessert.

Its a shame they are not doing more exciting desserts, one of the desserts on the childs set meal did have fruit salad however would be nice if it was serverd with ice cream, so then the kids are getting some fruit as well as a holiday treat.

That sounds great...... we went for 6 days in Jan and I swear everthing seemed to be nuggets or burger for the kids...... we were really dissapointed with the food situation. In fact on the last day of the holiday I had to stay inside the hotel cause i had food poisoning and the doctor had to be called....... never felt anything like that in my whole life:scared1: But hey I lost half a stone!!!!:rotfl:
