Healthiest Quick Service Restaurants?

I booked a lot of table service restaurants for my upcoming trip. I know we're going to be very full and we're going to go all out when we eat at them.

When I eat at the quick service restaurants I want to keep it light.. aka avoiding chicken fingers/hamburgers/etc.

So what are the healthiest quick service options in all of the parks? :confused3

When you say that you're a basic eater and you're looking for healthy, what type of healthy items are you looking for?

Most places offer at least one salad or wrap option. Many offer a chicken option, so you will almost always find a quasi healthy option wherever you go. Also, if you're on the dining plan, you can almost always sub out a side of grapes or carrots for the fries and dessert.

Now for places that I find interesting for CS, I think Sunshine Seasons wins for variety. Grilled Salmon, rotisserie chicken, and rotisserie pork chop (OK rotisserie isn't really healthy, but it's really good). Turkey Sandwich, Grilled veggie sandwich on flatbread, Ginger Mongolian Beef, Spicy Thai Chicken, Tofu and Vegetable Noodle Bowl, Roasted Beets and Goat Cheese Salad. There are a ton of wonderful options and many are healthier than your standard hamburger or chicken strips. However, many of the healthy choices aren't really 'basic'.

While vegetarians can eat junk food like everyone else (french fries are typically perfectly vegan :)), generally we aim for healthier choices. As a result, we've often turned away from quick service, because it is definitely a lot harder to keep to healthier choices than it would be in a full-service restaurant. It seems that even the things that look like they might be healthy are laden with sugary and/or fatty sauces, or rely on unhealthy condiments like mayonnaise to make them palatable.

At the Magic Kingdom, we used to head to Cosmic Rays, but even there the pickings are slim. We've aimed for Columbia Harbor House on recent trips, and that's worked out okay. We had the Lighthouse Sandwich last time, I believe. Avoid the quick service eatery in Fantasyland.

At Epcot, Sunshine Seasons offers such a vast array of choices that there is always something decent available. The challenge is avoiding all the unhealthy choices, many of which look so much better. ;) Avoid Electric Umbrella.

At Hollywood Studios, we've had the most luck at the ABC Commissary.

At Animal Kingdom, Tusker House used to be our go-to quick service eatery... of course, it was so good that now it's no longer quick service. :) Truly, now, there's nothing, so we still go to Tusker House.

Magic Kingdom - We like Columbia Harbor House.

Hollywood Studios - We like the veggie pizza at Pizza Planet

Many of the quick service restaurants have healthy sandwich or salad options.

While not in a park, WPE in DTD is a great CS with some nice healthy choices. Ingredients are organic and you can get nice entrees like chicken or grilled salmon served with veggies. They also have some nice salads.

As others have said Sunshine Seasons has really nice food and a lot of the salad ingredients and veggies are grown right there in the land pavillion.

Many other places including the resort food courts do salads with grilled chicken....check out the menus, there are some good choices out there. We are season passholders at 6 Flags NJ and there is nothing but junk there, I love that Disney has so many great options.

MK - Columbia HH, has a very good Lighthouse sandwich
EC - Tangerine Cafe or Sunshine Seasons
Starring Rolls - nice place to get a turkey sandwich
POR foodcourt - Create your own salad
Earl of Sandwich - Very good salads
