Any suggestions on counter service restaurants in the theme parks that offer healthy options?

columbia harbour house has a few sandwiches that are of the "healthier" variety. i enjoy a half hummus and broccoli slaw sandwich with a vegetarian chili. yum yum!

i'm sure there are others, but i can't think about it off the top of my head.

In Epcot, the Sunshine Seasons food court has lots of great, healthy options. The Tangerine Cafe in the Morocco pavilion has some good healthy middle eastern food, too.

I don't know if the mayo and dressing is loaded with calories, but the tuna sandwich and veggie hummus and broccoli slaw sandwiches at the Columbia Harbor House at MK are great choices, too.

All of the theme parks now offer counter service stands where you can get a healthy snack. We love stopping at the Anaheim Produce stand and MGM and getting fresh fruit and snacking at the covered picnic tables.

At Flatbread Grill in MGM, they have grilled chicken wraps that come with fruit options too.

There are also carts in the parks that sell fruit.

Cosmic Ray's in MK have some healthy options - they have yogurt, fruit and veggies.

A lot of the kid meals have fruit and veggie options as well, and are smaller portions, which help with the healthy edge too.

On our last trip we ended up on a chilly night at MK, tired to death of over-indulging on expensively rich or processed fast food. Luckily, we stumbled across the "market" (cart) area near Liberty Tree Tavern. From there we purchased for our dinner baked potatos, corn on the cob, watermelon, grapes. They also have other fruit options.

The items for the baked potato come on the side, so you can limit how much fat you add to it (i.e. sour cream, butter, cheese, etc). I know starchy baked potato and corn on the cob isn't as healthy as say an green salad with fat-free vinaigrette, but it was very filling and felt wholesome to our abused tummies ;) (and comforting on a cold night). And while I may love Dole Whips, there is also just something about watermelon that feels reviving after a long day in the park.

Each theme park also has some sort of fresh fruit stand, great for snacks! In the MK its between the HM and HoP. In DAK its at the entrance to the safari, MGM on Sunset Blvd, and at Epcot in The Land.

Unfortunately, you used to be able to get a wonderful meal at Tusker House - but know it's a sit down. They had a nice salmon meal or roast chicken with actual green beans that snapped and everything!

We love the tuna sandwich at Columbia Habour House - the bread is a thick seven-grain bread and the tuna is fresh, with tomato and lettuce. Wouldn't say it was lo-cal but surely a nice break from burgers.

These are my 2 CS healthy food experiences. In AK, stop by the Flame Tree BBQ and get the fresh fruit platter. It was terrific (assorted fruit: canteloupe, grapes, apple slices, yogurt, and honeydew melon).

Also, I agree with Maggi May to stop at Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion in EP. Terrific salads!!! You can also get a Turkey sandwich. Their sandwiches are pretty terrific too!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to try some on my upcoming trip. Fresh fruit, salads, and wraps sound great! I don't think I can take a 5 days of hamburgers, hot dogs, and fries!

I second the tuna sandwich at CHH in MK. It was my favorite cs meal of the entire trip!

I forgot about Electric Umbrella in Epcot futureworld. They have some nice wraps and you can get an apple instead of fries.
