Heads Up, we could have our first Hurricane or Tropical Storm visiting Florida next week as early as this Sunday to Tuesday.

from weather channel:

"Near the western tip of Cuba, Tropical Depression 1 has formed and will continue to organize this weekend possibly becoming Tropical Storm Alberto by this evening. Some rain will hit the northeast Yucatan Peninsula and the Cayman Islands, but the bulk of the heaviest rain will remain east of the tropical depression over the western half of Cuba where 10 to 30 inches are possible by early Monday. Deadly flash flooding and mudslides are likely. From Sunday into Tuesday, the heavy rain will take aim on Florida and could become a great drought buster for much of the state."

We REALLY need the rain.

Hopefully this doesn't turn into a major hurricane.. but I know how you all need the rain in Florida.. So a tropical storm wouldn't be such a bad thing...

Last year I think it started even a day early. This season (so far) is not as bad as last year. But there is PLENTY of time ahead.
Looks very poorly formed, but carrying a lot of rain. I am not sure how much we will even get.
We were all over last night and drove through just a spritz of a light mist.
One place we were last night was PI/DTD. We saw no signs of rain.
But as we were driving home, there were significant puddles around MK area and just north of it.
In our living area -- nothing.
Must have been typical scattered showers last night. I hope they had rain by the AK area.

"As the system edges northward into the Gulf, squally rainbands will inundate much of the Keys and southern Florida with 4-8 inches on Sunday and Monday."
I hope we get some of it!
