I know many of us here use Ad-Aware, that great software tool for seeking out and nabbing those pesking spywares and trackwares that are surreptitiously placed on our PC's. Periodically, Lavasoft, the Ad-Aware company, makes a new 'build' and the frequent updates (just like antivirus, you need def updates at least weekly) no longer work with the old builds. And, as it is free software, Lavasoft does not take the time (understandably) to notify. I heard of the new build last night on a tech radio show I listen to each week.
So, if you use Ad-Aware (and if you don't, maybe think about it) here is a link to get the new build. After you download, make sure to do your update for defs, then do your sweep. Just an FYI.
