Heads up if you pick your own strawberries!

Usually the local you-pick farm opens for strawberries on Memorial Day weekend. I looked last night and it opens TODAY! Apparently unseasonable warm weather means they are ready early, and I didn't want any of my fellow dissers to miss out!

We are in SC and we went this past Saturday and picked the biggest berries we've ever picked. And guess what?? We are going back this Saturday to pick again. Crazy yummy!

Like MichelleinMaine, it'll be months before we pick berries here too. On Tuesday morning, we had mixed snow and rain.

Mmmm strawberries......... We picked some here in NC last year and they were "ok" I'm trying to convince DH to take a little road trip this weekend back to SC to go picking. Now if I can convince him to go I'm gonna need some recipes so that they don't go to waste.
