Just thought I would mention that when we were on the Halloween Magic our server pointed out that most of the vegetable based soups at dinner contain chicken stock s well as vegetable stock. He made sure to point out the ones that were completely veggie that we could have. I thought this was worth mentioning as our server the year before DIDN'T point this out and I fear I may have had some of the soups without realising what was in them.

Thank you sooo much!!!!! My husband is a veg. and when he gets any meat products is makes is very sick. :faint:

Thanks. We are ethical vegetarians and appreciate the advice. We always ask about soups in any restaurants we go to because even the ones that don't sound like they should have meat stock (broccoli cheese, vegetable, etc.) often do.,

So how were the vegetarian entrees? Any problems?

No issues with the entrees. In fact we thought the selection was very good, with the exception of the Parrot Cay menu which was a bit disappointing. The curries were especially good.

My husband is not a vegetarian, but Mr. Meat and Potatoes just loves the veggie entrees on the ship. I've seen him go a whole cruise just eating vegetarian meals.

The key to getting exactly what you want is to be sure your servers understand your preferences since "vegetarian" means different things to different people. They will be glad to check with the chef if they don't know the ingredients in a dish.

Good point CM-Mom. And our server did say we only had to ask what the soup was for the following day and if we wanted it, it could be made for us just with vegetable stock. Also there were sometimes dishes on the regular menu (eg pasta dishes) which could be done without fish or meat. My DD did this a couple of times and no advance notice was needed and I did it at Palo with a carbonara type pasta which was delicious.

Good point, CM_Mom.

Thanks for the warning, KEH. I'm always hesitant to order soups in restaurants for this very reason.
