Our trip is coming up in December and the little things I've been putting off really need to be taken care of.

Can someone recommend a nice pair of earmuffs (we are bringing ear plugs too, but our one DS is 3 and terrified of the fireworks noises) for a three year old. Prefer something lightweight/easy to carry around but good for blocking noise. I know he would prefer a 'headset' to plugs, but it depends on what's out there.

Second, can someone recommend a decent light weight bag to carry around in the parks? I prefer something that wouldn't cross over the front of my body because I don't think that would be comfortable for me all day long. But, I need something to carry around our stuff - with two 3 year olds there is always stuff.

Third, is Walmart my best bet for lightweight rain ponchos, ID holders for tickets/fast passes and a light weight/small fish scale to weight our bags before our trip home?

Last is there any other odd/little thing that I should be bringing/thinking of and am missing - lol!?!

Thanks!

I dont have a reccomendation for the bag, but as for the ear muffs, we have used them twice at Disney for the same reason, and also to other loud sporting events where we have taken our boys. They are caled "Peltor Ear Muffs" and are the same quality/strength as the ones they use on construction sites, but for little ones! You can buy them on ebay and some online retailers...

They are the ones that Gweneth Peltrow first was spotted having on her kids when attending her hubby's concerts. They are IDEAL!! I love love love them! (They are also great for taking naps in the stroller, lessens the noise, and let's them zonk out without distraction!)

They were about $20 a pair.

I did some looking at the mentioned ear muffs and have decided to get a couple pairs of the Peltors. Thanks so much for the help! :thumbsup2

I did remember that I still wanted to get an engraved 'tag' to attach to shoe laces in case we get separated. I do hope that doesn't happen, but just in case........

Got to tie up these loose ends! :)

If you don't want a bag that crosses over your body, then I would suggest a decent backpack with comfortable straps. Another thing you could do is put most of your items that you won't need with you while in lines, like diaper changing supplies (if not p/t'd yet), changes of clothes, in a bag you don't care much about, and leave that with the stroller while on rides. I would never leave anything valuable in the stroller but I never worried too much about stuff that is easily replacable. With two three yr olds, I'm sure that you'll have enough to worry about that any way to lighten your load would help. When ds was that age, I usually carried a small backpack that I could keep snacks in for him (he was a grazer at that age), sippy cup/beverage, and things like wipes, tissue, hand sanitizer - that type of thing. My dh carried the camera (small camera that fit in a holster type bag on his belt).

If you have a dollar tree in your area, they usually have rain ponchos in a 2pk (2 for a $). Walmart prices are not that much more though, so if you're already shopping there then I would probably just buy them there (why waste gas driving somewhere else for one inexpensive item?).

Walmart also has the dog-tag machines so you could make ID tags for your kids shoes there too.

You might be able to find a small luggage scale in the luggage aisle @ WM as well. I think I've seen one there but can't remember for sure. We bought a travelon one from Radio Shack and it has come in really handy. Now we don't have to worry that our bags will be over weight and we can distribute things in them more evenly.

I would think that WM would have the ID holders in their office supply section. We bought ours at the dollar tree though.

another things we bought at WM a long time ago and never travel w/out is the clear plastic over the door shoe holder. Very handy with little ones because you can keep things off the bathroom counter and out of their reach. We do usually have to hang it in the closet though since the door brackets are too narrow to fit over the bathroom doors (unfortunately).

hth!

This sounds great!

I have a question though. Can you take a backpack onto rides with you? Do you have to leave the backpack with the stroller. Yes, I am using a stroller! :)

Thanks!
