Please help me out. I thought I remembered reading a while ago that you could see the Headless Horseman start his Mickey's Boo To You Parade ride at Fort Wilderness. Is this still a thing? If so, can someone please tell me when it would start and where you would need to be to see the ride start?

It was the Haunted Hayrides & Carriage Rides at FW and they have been discontinued for a while.

I can't speak to the Fort, but he did ride a couple times at Saratoga last year on Halloween night, during the resort activities.

^^^ THIS We did this in 2010. It was well worth the price of like $60 or so, and we all had a great time...Sadlyas You say...No longer are they in existence

But to your question, glancing at a map will show he couldn't start at Ft Wilderness and easily or timely get to MK, especially for parade 2.

My understanding is the horse lives at the Ft. Wilderness stables.

Well that's a bummer. I had heard that the carriage rides had been discontinued (sounds like it would have been great fun) but I thought I remembered also reading that the horse was at Fort Wilderness so he just saddled up there and rode from Ft. Wilderness to MK and through the parade. Honestly, I was pretty impressed that he could ride that way for that long. Luckily, my parents will be doing the party so they will get to see him no matter what (provided weather cooperates, of course). Thanks for all of the replies!

FW horses are actually used in the MK parades. We spoke to one of the FW trainers last year and they told us that the specific horse we were viewing was one of them.

Also, the carriage rides are still available at FW, just not the haunted carriage rides.
