My fiancé and I are looking at a 9 AM Epcot (Germany) wedding followed by a brunch in Italy. Does this mean that the festivities would be over around 2? Is it insane to think we could go back to the hotel, change, and get back to Epcot around 4 for some drinking with friends to celebrate?

go for it! You may be tired from getting up so early to get ready for the day, but you will be pumped on excitement!!! congratulations!

That's what me and my fiancé wanted to do originally! But my mom axed the idea of a morning reception inside the park pretty quickly :( I would pick out a cute white sundress and wear some bridal ears! Or create shirts for you and your new spouse to wear in the park (they could say "Just Married Today!").

You totally could! We had an Epcot wedding (though in Italy) and while we chose to extend our reception till 3pm, if we hadn't planned anything else that night we would have gone back into the parks! (We did a dessert party in France, so we used the 4+ hour break to nap!)

Sounds like a good plan to me!

A Disney Bride friend of mine had her ceremony around 10 (I think)? and we all celebrated at EPCOT later!

My daughter's wedding is at 9am in Japan with the reception at Ariels. The Magic Kingdom is opened late that evening so we were planning a few rides and some wishes that evening.

We are having our wedding at the Wedding Pavillon (near the Grand Floridian) at 10 am, followed by a cake and champagne celebration. The whole thing should be over and done by 12 or 12:30. We are planning to head to Magic Kingdom after that, for the afternoon and then a family dinner at one of the restaurants. Our wedding planning consultant told us the best way is to use the lockers near the entrance of the park to store our gear.

Plan is after the wedding event is done, to change into park attire and store our wedding clothes in the lockers once we get to MK park.

I don't want to waste time going back to the hotel to change, as I think that could take a couple hours with transportation, etc.

Just thought I'd weigh in here....
It's 1 day, head to the parks regardless of if your feeling tired and you can always call it a night by 7pm and plan a later start the next morning or a relaxing pool day!
