No, not to be a dental floss tycoon! LOL. Yeah, I know that was Montana.

Anyway, leaving for CA on Wednesday. Expect to be in Disneyland on Sunday.

Heard from the relative trying for the Club 33 reservation and it's pretty much a no go. That's ok in the long run. Was never too sure about it with the little girls anyway. Maybe some other time when it's just the DP and I.

So, any last minute tips, advice, warnings, counsel, reminders, instructions, how to's? :teeth:

Do the "rope drop run" if you really want to ride Nemo! The lines get real long real quick.

And yes, it is an "E ticket"!

Enjoy Walt's park!:cool1:

Me 'n the pygmy pony will be sure to wave at your plane as it flys over! :goodvibes

Is this your first time to DL? It has it's own special charm and the rides are much better. Don't miss Space Mountain. FP for Splash are put to good use, not so much for Indiana Jones as the FP line meets the regular queue too early on to be helpful while Splash's FP bypasses a longer line.

Be sure to look up at the window of Snow Whites Ride.

Have a wonderful, wonderful time!

Thanks for the info!

I'll be sure to wave back at you and the pygmy pony! :goodvibes

Yes, it's our first time to Walt's park and we can't wait to go! It's incredible to think that we are finally going to see the original park that started it all!

Geesh, walking under that train station gives you the feeling like no other feeling! It's a much smaller park, and everything is shrunk down, but the goosebumps you get as you turn every corner are like nothing else!

Take time to just sit and enjoy the place!

We will thanks! I'm expecting to have a strong reaction to being in a place where Walt Disney walked and spent so much of his time. To be able to walk where he walked, and see (some of ) what he saw... shivers!

My absolute favorite thing to do is to sit and take in all the atmosphere, passing people, details... so I'll be sure to spend some time doing that (if the girls allow)! LOL!

Whoosh! Haven't been this excited about a Disney visit in a long time! It's great being right on top of WDW and going any time we please, but the excitement of it tempers down to something less thrilling.

Can't wait to go!

OK! I'm pretty much out of here! :cool1: I am however, bringing the laptop. <<<sigh>>> So you may just get an onsite report!

Still no absolute no on Club 33 yet, but as I said earlier, I'm not counting on it.

We fly early, so Disneyland-HERE WE COME!!!  :cloud9:

How true. When we went in 2005 I had never been to DL before. Padalyn made me walk under the train tracks backwards, close my eyes, and spun me around to then open my eyes. WOW!!!

Take the time to stop and enjoy the charm of the Walts Park. It is so different. Enjoy!!

You will love it. As a Disney geek, you can truly fel Walt's touch in the park. Some of our favorites: A nice stroll through New Orleans Square (My favorite land!) and lunch at the Blue Bayou. The parade is quite nice and seeing Fantasmic on the Rivers Of America can be fun if the weather is nice. Indiana Jones is a BLAST and you will get much wetter on the DL Splash Mountain than the WDW one....

Have a great trip!

Indiana Jones    - this is my fave of all the parks!

There's a feeling of being "hugged" in DL has that I dodn't feel in MK. It's smaller but it is so rich with detail and history.

Some things I would recommend:

Be sure to look above the firehouse after dark. The lamp there used to be left on to let the CMs know that Walt was "on property". Now it's turned on each night as a tribute.

Have a Monte Cristo sandwich in New Orleans Square. They make them at the Blue Bayou and the Cafe Orleans. It's so unhealthy but it's sooo good, and can't get them in WDW. Here's a photo: http://photos.igougo.com/pictures-photos-j62407-s2-p273547-Monte_Cristo_Sandwich.html

The Condor Flats area of California Adventure opens a half hour before CA officially opens. It's a great time to ride Soarin' Over CA.

See the Alladin show at CA. It's amazing.

To ride the Finding Nemo Subs: Arrive at rope drop. Go to the LEFT of the Matterhorn. Although it's to the right of the Matterhorn, the queue entrance is left of it. Many people try to go through Tomorrowland only to end up going around. The other strategy is to go to it about 20 min. before the park closes. The line is dramatically smaller then.

If you want a quick meal away from the crowd, try White Water Snacks in the Grand Californian Hotel. It's kind of hidden so most people don't notice it. The food is good and, for DLR, reasonably priced.

Anyway, that's my 2-cents. :)

You're going to have a ball. I used to go every year. I'm up in Sacramento. Only been to WDW twice, but to Disneyland a lot. Enjoy.

Well, we made it back in one piece! Disneyland was quite an adventure with two little girls and their Da. It was wicked hot! The second day at DCA was much cooler so I enjoyed that more.

Was able to do some of the things I wanted, and missed out on some others. Always a good reason to return, eh?
