Making plans for The Poly in Feb., 2003. The only down side, if you can call it that, is we must go during school vacation. We live in New England, so that is the school vacation schedule we are following. I know the park hours will not be posted until Nov. or Dec., but does anyone know what the hours were THIS Feb.? Our school vacation fell the week of 2-16-02 thru 2-23-02. Was anyone there that remembers the weather ( temps? ) the kids want to use the pool. I would ask about the crowds, but all our previous have been during vaca., crowded but still Disney!!

Thanks........

February is unpredictable. We've been twice during February school break (we're from S.E. Mass.). Once the weather was good (70's). The other time we had 2 days in the 80's then 5 days in the 40's and 30's.....that I could get at home! We've avoided Feb. vacation since. We usually go on April vacation week and in the summer. Both Feb. and Apr. weeks can be very crowded but they usually have longer hours too. I wouldn't say don't go in Feb....just be prepared, bring some warm clothes from home (yes we even used our gloves).

I'm also from S.E. Mass and we were at WDW during February school vacation this year. The weather was pleasant with temps in the 60's and 70's. We did have 2 days of rain at the end of the week but it was mild so we didn't mind walking around in it. As the previous poster said , the weather in February can be very unpredictable with temps ranging from 50 to 80 degrees. Just remember, whatever the weather is it will be MUCH BETTER than the weather in Worcester in February! The park hours were much shorter then I remember them being during April vacations but they did offer two E ticket nights during the week. The parks were crowded but not nearly as bad as the crowds during April school vacation when it coincides with Easter.... Have Fun:D

You will definitely need the layered clothing look. There could be showers, a cold front, a warm front - a full house! February in Central Florida is like April/May in the north. Just plan accordingly and you'll be fine. One thing - you shouldn't sweat too much! :D
