Greetings Gang:
I'm posting under my wife's signon. I'm really "Yessss_Dear" but can't get my password reset. Don't blame her!
We're looking for a break over the Prez. Day weekend and are planning on heading down to Louisville, Ky from Fri 2/15 to the next monday. We've never been there. We're traveling with an 11 (going on 17) year old boy and looking for any local advice.
We've got reservations at the GALT HOUSE, right on the river. Doesn't sound exciting on it's own (no game room (read: no Golden Tee Golf game), no indoor pool) but it looks to be in walking distance of the museums and some shops.
Does anyone know that the Galt House is a good time or of a better place to stay even if it means a drive into the downtown attractions? We're looking for a fun, relaxed family place that's also quiet at night. Things within walking distance would be a definate plus, as would a Golden Tee Golf game. There's a Holidome in Louisville but Tripadvisor has some shaky reports on it. Also please chime in with any advice on what to see, what not to see, what to avoid, etc.
Did I mention a Golden Tee Golf game would be nice?
Thanks in advance
