Headed ot AKL tomorrow! Any last minute advice....

We will be leaving around 1pm and hopefully arriving by 5pm.

We have a PS for dinner at Jiko's. I'm so excited.

What are your must do's/see's at AKL?

No advice except try Boma for dinner too. It's a beautiful resort & I hope you have a great time.

I know you were worried about the weather, but if worse comes to worse, you'll be snug as a bug in a mighty fine resort. You can watch the animals play in the rain. Can't wait to hear your report when you return!

Check out the gift shop! Most of the itmes there are hand-made and very reasonably priced. I hope you have a super trip!! If you don't mind, take a huge "sniff" of the lobby for me. Sounds weird, I know... I love even the aroma of the AKL!

Well, it's morning and we are leaving in a few hours!!!

We got up early and have been watching all the videos !

We also have ps's for boma for both breakfast and dinner!

I know about the smells- "cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamon". I think I have that "Great Hotels" episode memorized word for word!

I will be at AKL tomorrow with my 2 daughters. I too was coincerned with the weather. I guess we will make due though. I will not let rain spoil my time. We will be spending alot of time at the resort anyway. Have a safe trip down there and have a good time.

We will arrive at AKL early Sunday morning just in time for breakfast at Boma.
If you see a sleepy couple walking around the resort its most likely us, still recovering from the red-eye flight from the left coast.

This morning... couldn't turn down the codes for $119/night! Have never stayed here! Always have stayed at a moderate.
Please tell me all you can about AKL... restaurants, what to see, etc. Please post a trip report about this resort when you return! Thanks!
