Wow! You guys are talented! If it can't be made with stitch witch iron on tape, it doesn't get made in my house!
I made my own headbands as well for the Disneyland half marathon last year. These are a few that I made. Very easy and inexpensive to do.

Do you sell these?
I am not the poster of those photos-however I can tell you these are very easy to make if you can sew a basic straight stitch on a sewing machine. I googled sweaty bands and found a blogger who posted instructions. I've made about 25 of them for my girls and their friends in the last week or so. All you need is some ribbon, some velvet and some elastic. I found cute Minnie mouse/Ariel/Belle/Cinderella ribbon at Walmart. I also found sparkly ribbon and pink leopard at Hobby Lobby. Michaels has some Halloween ribbon out now.
I went ahead and ordered a couple of SweatyBands and a 5 BondiBands (found a coupon code for 5 for $25). The bondiBands do not stay on my head...it always slips off unless I wear it like an old school sweatband across my forehead (funny, but horribly unattractive). The SweatyBands are better for me, but again, I feel like I am constantly tugging the elastic back down. If I didn't have my hair in a ponytail, I think the SweatyBand would slip off. My head must be horribly shaped, lol!
I recently invested in a visor made from wicking material and am hoping that will help on my outdoor runs. I'll just have to struggle with my SweatyBands for my indoor runs and spin classes.
Thanks for the tip! I will have to look at it, but I have to admit the sewing machine and I do not get along...![]()
hmmmm sounds like a craft fair idea! Thanks for the idea! You're funny. I'm no sewing expert myself, but I found these really easy to make--the elastic costs about $1 and will allow for multiple headbands. I used about 15.5 inches of ribbon and velvet for each band as well. When I broke those costs down for each headband, it costs only about $2 a piece. My girls love them and several friends have asked me to make some for their girls as well.
Bondibands are actually meant to be worn on the hairline. They aren't meant to be worn father back in your hair, so only some people have success wearing them that way. I am not one of those people, but I don't mind how they look wearing them on my hairline. I just get the fun designs and sayings and go with it. Also, they work great under visors. I wear one under my visor to absorb sweat, even with sweat wicking material.

What does the shirt you have on in this photo say? I have lots of pink workout/running gear and I like the general design of your shirt.
My daughter would LOVE to be photographed with Clarabelle Cow! Such a cute pic. I hope she is out next princess....
And the bondi bands do better for me at keeping sweat out of my eyes. The sweaty band is good, I do like it, but I think the bondi has better sweat control, just cuz its bigger.
Rundisneymom - How were they? Did they stay in when you worked out with them? Are they too big or small? (I can adjust the size).
SO glad you like them![]()
