Headache tablets etc

Will we be able to take headache tablets and travel sickness pills in our hand luggage as youngest daughter suffers from travel sickness i suffer from headaches.

My understanding is that any medicine that isn't a liquid is fine. If it's a liquid it has to be prescription.
