Head On! Apply Directly to the Forehead!

The Weather Channel shows this commercial all of the time, and it gets on my nerves. What *is* Head On, and why would you want to apply it directly to your forehead? :confused3 The commercial says nothing about what Head On is supposed to do. :confused3

And, today I'm glued to The Weather Channel until football starts because when there's a chance of snow, I'm a Weather Channel junkie. :lmao:

It is for headaches.
Head on actually makes commercials making fun of thier own commercials now!

It looks like a giant Bonnie Bell Lipsmacker. And I guess you're supposed to rub it on your forhead with that same vapid, blissful expression on your face.

It seems to have some kind of menthol ingredient, so when you rub it over your forehead, it kind of tingles. I don't know if it really works, but I use it occasionally before bed when I feel like I'm coming down with a slight headache. For anything serious, I take actual Tylenol or my migraine meds! :headache:

COnsumer Reports (or someone along those lines) says it really doesn't work.

A long time ago I vowed to not buy anything from a company whose commercials are so annoying that I actually turn the channel when they come on. So they lost my business without even trying.

I bought some because I get headaches often. This stuff is a joke, it makes your head tingle, that's about it. And don't forget it's there, if you wipe your forehead and then touch your cheek, well your cheek is gonna tingle too. I threw it away.

My husband and I laugh about this too!:lmao:

I was told that it isn't approved by the FDA so they are legally not allowed to state what their product is. They are allowed to do what they are doing with their commercials though...which is basically annoy the public as well as get everyone's curiosity going. My MIL and FIL use it and swear it is wonderful but I am personally skeptical of anything not approved by the FDA.

FWIW, I have something similar to Head on (a Migrastik), and while it doesn't heal it, it gives my brain something else to focus on while wating for my meds to kick in.
