I have no idea on where to turn for eating. How do I make reservations when I have never been and have no idea where to look??? I have a 2 year old (food allergies) and a 9 year old (with moderate food allergies) and a 14 year old and two adults. I am looking mainly at sit down places or buffets due to the allergy kids but am up for any suggestions anywhere if they accomidate. I wouldn't mind adding in some character events too but have NO clue where or what.

Can someone help me on where to look?? Is there a link or something that I can check out?? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats where I usually turn for dining advice. Hope that helps. Its a messing thing setting up reservations because Ive been the one to do it for our group the last two years. I cant even imagine what its like with allergies. The CM's for dining are very helpful so I would explain your allergy case to whomever you talk to and at every place you eat.

Our fav buffets are CP for breakfast and dinner, Cape May for breakfast or dinner, Beirgarten for dinner and Donalds. All of them are very good and have a large selection of food, if you ask to speak with the chef at any restaurant he will come out and talk to you about your food allergies and walk the buffet with you telling you what is ok for you to eat.

I have been reading the DIS for about a month and have found several dining ideas from other readers. Keep searching and you will also find lots of wonderful pictures and descriptions on this site.

As fas as allergies, check out allearsnet.com and they have several recomendations for allergies, etc.

Hope this helps!!!

My sympathies...it would be overwhelming if you've never been.

Where are you staying? If there is a sit-down or character breakfast at your resort, that's a good place to start, especially for a low-key day.

If you are wanting to get a jump-start on the parks, try booking one of the character breakfasts around opening time (or just before).

If you're on the plan, don't worry about booking lunches (use the CS credits); for dinner, think about what your priorities will be at night...do you want to see the fireworks? (book in the MK or at a nearby resort) Fantastic? (book at MGM).

And remember that you can always play it by ear when you get there, canceling some places and adding others that look interesting.

Try to come up with a basic itinerary of where you will be going on each day. Then you can narrow down your dinner choices to the restaurants that are in your area. This is usually what works best for me.

you can also try the allearsnet website, they have menus listing just about every restaurant that Disney has to offer. This can all be so overwhelming for a newbie- good luck!!
