HEA Dessert Party and the Weather?

We are going to Disney World for our first time ever at the beginning of October this year. We were wanting to possibly do the dessert party for the HEA fireworks, since this might be the only time we ever go to DW. My only worry is that the fireworks might not end up happening the night we go, because of the weather, then we are out of luck and money. So my question is how often do the fireworks get cancelled in October? Is this something we would need to worry about?

They virtually never cancel the MK fireworks due to weather.

So few times that it I estimate it is statically below 1%.

At the worst, Tink doesn't fly. I've never had a problem... other than Hurricane Matthew.
