We have 2 MK days scheduled for our July trip. On one of them, there is a DAH event at MK. Will this make the HEA fireworks more crowded? Just trying to plan which evening would be better for HEA. Thanks!
To date, the additional guest count created by DAH events has not really been a material/noticeable source of 'higher crowds' for HEA. Yes, there are more people in the park on account of the event, but just like day guests they're all on different agendas... some are hitting rides that aren't open during DAH, some are shopping, some are eating, some will watch HEA for sure, some won't even show up until after HEA/closer to event start time (I'm in this camp). Some won't have bought a park ticket for that day and bought a DAH instead, but would have bought a park ticket/been there for HEA if not for the DAH event. Tons of possibilities.
So I guess the simple answer is, yes, there are more bodies loading into MK for the event later that evening and some of them will watch HEA. If it's more crowded for HEA, it's on the margins and not necessarily a materially higher crowd experience.
A caveat, since you're going in July it'll be a Villains After Hours night, which are still early in their existence but seem to be relatively popular and people seem to think the guest count is higher than a normal DAH night. So, we're still learning/watching how these summer Villains After Hours really work for things like crossover traffic, crowds, etc.
