HE timing when the Parks close at different times

Has anyone tried HE when the Parks close at different times? When we're there next week, IOA closes at 6pm on our 1st day with US open until 7pm. Would like to catch the one of the last few trains out of Hogsmeade over to DA to get the train ride and the nighttime experience as our first impression of the new land!

Question is, when does it stop running? If we're in-line before 6pm will it run until the line is empty, or is it a hard stop at 6pm?

in october, the studios were closing at 7 pm the day i was there.
the line during the afternoon was holding over an hour.(90)

i went to get in line at about 5:25 but was told the ride was closed.
no line to wait in.

TM told me that the line inside was at 90 minutes so the outside line was closed.
at the rate it was going, all inside would be allowed on the ride which would probably finish up by 7:00.

sometimes this can happen where the park is still open but no more are allowed in the line for gringotts.

on other days i was there, guests were allowed to get in the wait line prior to closing.

i had more days in the park so this wasn't an issue of returning for the ride another day.

will guess that if the ride is having some breakdowns, the lines can be closed prior to park closing time so all those already waiting, can get to ride it.


my situation was probably not the norm but it happened.
if you are only going for one day, don't wait until near park closing time for gringotts.

Oops, I probably could have made it more understandable - it was riding the HE between Parks when there's a time diff in the Park closing times, not Gringotts. My bad...

if the park you want to ride HE is closed, TMs will have the HE shut down for that portion.

It typically runs until the line is empty. But, they will close the line at a certain time, so don't expect to walk up right before closing and get on. Make sense?
