Hello!

I have been lurking on this board knowing I had nothing to add or ask...until now!

On our first trip "home" to SSR my BF proposed right in front of Mexico after dinner. LONG story on how he got the right there and how many chances he missed on to ask in other places!

We are not sure what we want to do for the wedding...we are thinking a Disney Intimate for just the two of us and then a small cocktail party once we get home. I can't seem to find a place anywhere that would give me an idea on the cost. It would just be the two of us...and we already have a DVC room and tix. Any ideas?

Congratulations on your engagement!!! You can do what is called an "Intimate Add On" which is basically an intimate wedding without the hotel stay and tickets. I'm not sure about the exact prices, but there is one price for Wedding Pavilion ceremonies and a less expensive price for the outdoor locations. Enjoy your planning!

Have you checked www.disneyweddings.com ? They have Some info on the Intimates. I'm not sure if they have prices, but there's a number you can call to request some info!

First, CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement!

My DH2B and I are having an Intimate Disney wedding in September. We are going with the whole package thing just because it was easier for us. We are also not having any guests, it will be just us. Our ceremony will be at Sunset Point and we are staying at the Polynesian (conceirge, just because we wanted to "splurge").

ead79 is right, to have your wedding at the Wedding Pavillion is about $800 more (for the package) than the other sites.

Definitely visit disneyweddings.com for more information...but I would suggest calling to request the information. The sales manager I talked to said the website actually has more information than the packet they send out.

Also visit www.yourfairytale.com for even more information. Some of the prices on this site are not quite up to date but it's a close idea and there is LOTS of info!

I think in your case the Intimate Add-On would work great...the rest is just the details! And that's the fun part!

Just to give you an idea, our total cost for the Disney intimate package (including hotel) is about $4600. Yours will be a bit less because of the DVC thing.

Congrats! Enjoy every minute of being engaged because it flies by! I can't believe I've been engaged for a year this Wednesday!
If you have the room and park tickets already, you can book an intimate add-on. I am pretty sure that it is around $2350 US. I will be calling on the 20th of this month to book our intimate add-on, so I could always let you know then how much it should cost.
Congrats again on the engagement and now you can feel comfortable to add to these boards, even though you could have done it before you were engaged! Lol.
