My son and his tissue filled pockets.

I swear I check all his clothes before they go in the washer. I pull every pocket inside out of his pants. I stick my hand through all the kanga-pockets on his sweatshirts, but no matter how well I think I've checked his clothing, I still get tissue debris all over the dryer.

Argh!

Haha!!! I shouldn't laugh but this sounds familiar. DH was even worse at one time because in his case it was pens!

Well, at least he blows his nose. Some kids I know just sniff and sniff. EWWW

Hi Janice!!!

Hi, Doc! And hi, Linda!

I want to find out where in his clothes he's hiding these tissues. I'm fairly confident they aren't in his pockets, but where else could they be? I'm going to start checking his sleeves.

I'm the guilty one in my family. It drives DH nuts. DS is good for leaving rocks and junk in his pockets.

Same here when I do mom's laundry.

Hi JJ! Hi Doc!

Want to know what's worse? Find a chapstick or carmex in the dryer...cap off...empty! You know pretty much everything in the load is covered with greasy stains!

I am soooo bad at the chapsticks. HORRIBLE. Once in a while one will stay in my pocket (am pretty good about putting it on my bedside table each night) and then everything has greasy stains. Luckily a few more washes in hot and they come out but it's annoying.

Son does that as well, I also find GUM????? A lot too and have had to scrape and scrape it off... I get paper too. I always seem to think the ones I have not checked are ok lol.

DS is also good for leaving Starburst and gum wrappers in his pockets. Fortunately, no actual gum or candy has made it into wash yet.

Blistex and Chapstick tubes I have to keep somewhere that the dog can't reach. For reasons I can't fathom, he likes to chew them up. Doc, if you're still reading, you were right about those beasts. They're big trouble!

Hi, Mare!

My brother was the WORST when we were kids!
Pens once every six months, I swear!

Kanga-pockets. That just cracked me up for some reason. :rotfl:

How you doing JJ?

My grandmother was like this only her were real hankies. Those things hide and pop up in the weirdest places!

Well I just went to switch over my laundry and found a spoon in the washer...a freakin spoon! Why did one of the girls have a spoon in their pocket I ask you? Of course I asked them and just got a blank look...

This is why my husband won't let me do the laundry. I always forget to check for tissues. I just did a load on Monday, and sure enough, tissues everywhere...and we don't have kids. I am just bad at laundry. It's all his fault ;) When we first were married we lived in the city and had to go to the laundromat, so things piled up. He INSISTED that he did the laundry better than me...especially on Sunday afternoons. He would go over and do our laundry while watching NFL football on the laundromat TVs. Oh well, all these years later, he is still better at laundry than me!

I quit putting my hands in my sons' pockets when they were quite little. Once I got a handful of chopped up earthworms..they were still sticky too. From then on I just shake them by the bottoms and let stuff fall out.

Now I get paperclips, lighters, (hate smokers) and DH's occassional tissue.

Sometimes the tissues are entact and look like a dryer sheet! How does that happen?
