HDDR - no openings

That sounds like a cat poster, but it's true

We want to try Hoop Dee Doo on our trip. I haven't been able to find an opening the entire week we're there in November. Is it really that hard to get in, or is it just because the ADR system has been down?

I just got one this past April and never had a bit of trouble, there were plenty reservations available even 4 weeks after they opened. Maybe try calling them. I know the website has not been working for me the past 2 or 3 days.

What dates are you trying for, and which show? The 6:15 show hasn't been available AT ALL for anyone booking for Oct or Nov. Nobody ( including Disney Dining CMs) knows why. It could be that the latest dates haven't been loaded into the system yet. I got an ADR for earlier in the month on my 180 day.

As @Minniemum said the 6:15 show has been unavailable to book at all for about 8 weeks now. I talked to a CM who could see that it was unavailable to book, NOT full, and she couldn't explain why. I tried at 180+6 at 6 AM. She said to just keep trying,
There have been many threads on this over the past several weeks.

I thought it was strange that nothing was open for my entire week, except for 1 show, when I tried to book on my 180+10 day.:scratchin

This appears to be an ongoing problem. Why Disney can't solve it is rather mind-boggling.

1) The last show is seldom sold out.
2) even when Free Dining is available.
3) The most popular is the 6:15 show, followed by the early show.

NOTE: Even when the 6:15 would appear sold out, there are a few seats (tables #044 and #045) left open for handicapped/wheelchair/ECV guests.

I see the 4:00 show available the entire week of my stay. I don't know much about it. Is it worth it? Is this best to do on a day such as AK where you won't need to spend the whole day at a park? I need suggestions on where to fit in to limit traveling as we are staying offsite. Thanks!

Figured after reading the other posts here saying that calling may find you an ADR that isn't online, I would call. Disney Dining said they are showing exactly what I have found online: no availability. She was puzzled at it as well, and said there is availability everywhere except that week.

Note, you can get Category 1 (the main floor, possibly interacting with the players) on the dining plan (2 credits) if you do go to the late show. Otherwise you have to take category 2 or 3.

Which week?
The 6:15 show is well documented to have been unavailable - not fully booked - since mid September now through mid to late November. I don't think you got the full story.

That's why I called, and the CM told me there was no availability all Thanksgiving week for 4:00 or 6:15 shows.

1) You can use 2-coupons and do Cat-1 for the late show.
2) But, as always, it depends upon how many other called before you.
3) First ressies get the best seats, followed in-order by time and date you called for the ressie.
4) You do not know where you are sitting until you pick up your tickets
. . . up to 7-date prior to date of show
. . . seats are not assigned until the 8th day prior

I booked the 6:15 show via the website at 180+9 days for Fri. Dec. 2nd. Not sure why I got it and so many are having troubles.
