I have seen differences in the HDDR menu on 2 sites. Can anyone who has gone recently tell me the menu? I have Crohn's Disease so I need to plan ahead if I can't eat most of the meal?
Thanks!

We were there in September....we had salad, cornbread, fried chicken, bbq ribs, corn, mashed potatoes, and strawberry shortcake...have a greay time...

we were just there in july............here you go!

What different menus have you seen? I have never heard of any other menu than the chicken/ribs combo! And we went in 2004 and have been reading reviews and such in the years since, and have never seen another menu reported.

If you have special dietary needs, call in advance and ask if you can have something different. When we went, I saw some people having a vegetarian meal and some having a kosher meal. You do have to let them know in advance but WDW is very accomodating about special medical needs and diets. My daughter has ulcerative colitis, and is allergic to soy and peanuts. Have it noted on your ADR and in most instances the chef will come out and ask you about your needs. The HDDR is such a fun time.

Clotho-

I knew about the chicken & ribs being on the menu but on the Dis site they do not list mashed potatoes but on another site they listed them. Mashed potatoes are a pretty big deal to me because they are usually a safe food for me. With my disease I can't eat salad, cornbread or baked beans plus I have to be careful with some fried foods!!! So can you understand my concern? I am trying to plan ahead to see what requests I need to make so that I can enjoy a meal & the show.

Thank you everyone for the menus, you have helped so much! Now I know I need to call ahead.

i have been there 5 years in a row and the mashed were always there.

Oh yes, I completely understand! I was thinking "what other courses are there?" and didn't even ethink about the sides.

And funny you mention it, because I noticed that, too, and was once like "What? no mashed potatoes?! I love them!" So I had that thought, too, but for different reasons!

You are correct...A person call 48 hrs ahead to arrange a different meal at the HDDR if need be...HDDR shares a kitchen with Trail's End...You can get anything from there if you make arrangements ahead of time....Take a look the TE menu on allears to get an idea if there is any thing there that will suit you...We needed to get a different meal for our children and it was not a problem.
