HDDR, Credit Card, and DDP, I'm still confused!

OK, this is ANOTHER question about booking ADR online and having to pay upfront.

I booked HDDR online and linked it to my resort reservation (which includes the DxDP). But my credit card was charged, even with the linking.

I know I can call and have a CM cancel it and reserve it again with just a hold. However, Cat2 is no longer showing as available for my date/time when I look online. So I think I'd be taking a risk if a CM cancels it that it 'may' not show as available again. I definitely want the date and time I have reserved, so I would be upset if I couldn't get it.

So I just want reassurance that my credit card will be refunded the night of HDDR when I ask them to charge my DxDP instead.

I have the same issue with CRT, but see more posts that it's not a problem with it. I just didn't see any posts with getting the HDDR credit card refund on the night of the show.

So I've now paid for HDDR and CRT which is OK as long as it is NO PROBLEM to get the refund on the day of the meal. Since I'm on DxDDP I definitely don't want to end up paying for these meals!

There won't be a problem, persay. For all prepaid experiences that can also be paid for by the DDP you can be refunded when you either eat there or pick up the tickets. As to when the refund actually hits your card, I cannot say.
