HLN reports missing child Haylee Donathan found safe

HLN has been offering coverage of the case of four years old missing child Haylee Donathan, who was missing for three weeks with her mother and her mothers sex offender boyfriend. Haylee was found safe in a commune near San Diego, California on June 23. U.S. Marshall Peter Elliot offered thanks to HLN broadcasters Nancy Grace and Jane Velez Mitchell for keeping the case front and center, so that viewers could be on the lookout for the missing child.
U.S. Marshall Peter Elliot stated in a press conference:
And again, I cannot compliment the media enough here for getting the message out for us and I know ;the Nancy Grace show was out there for us. And the Jane Velez Mitchell show was out there for us; and I appreciate that, we appreciate that because that provided a lot of tips to us and for us What an honor for us! A happy ending! According to reports on HLN, Haylee was found safe and well, except for a case of chicken pox. Haylees mother and her mothers boyfriend have both been taken into custody. Haylee will be sent back to Ohio, where her grandmother has filed for custody.
Haylee Donathan was found in a type of commune near San Diego, thanks to a report by a woman who saw her. Her mother and the boyfriend were reportedly surprised that they were spotted in what they considered a remote and safe area.
HLN Nancy Grace and Jane Velez Mitchell will provide additional information and updates on the case in this evenings shows.
