All of you have such great info on this board! I know that hotels have been discussed various times but I never saw a review/opinion of Hawthorn Suites in Ananheim (on Clementine). I got a rate with my Disney Club and they quoted a decent price (pkg) with 2 doubles and a queen bed. Heard there was breakfast, pool, microwave, fridge, shuttles.... Any opinion on cleanliness, how bad is the shuttle from here? (furthest drop area?) etc would be appreciated. Also , any restaurants near there?
Wanted to stay at Portofino but Disney Travel booked us in a double room and expected us to pay for a roll away for our 5th person (2 beds only) for 7 nites. Can you imagine a roll away for that many nights!! And upgrade to a kid suite would have been $600 MORE-- yikes!

THANKS!!! :D

We stayed at the Hawthorne in August. It was clean, though, at least the room we stayed in needed some maintence work. But everything but one lamp worked. The breakfast was AWESOME! as hotel breakfasts go. Eggs, hashbrown patties, sausage, danish, muffins, donuts, toasts, french toast, make your own mickey waffles, fruit, juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and even sodas. The shuttles was okay, shared with two other hotels, so it took a while to get back to the hotel (it was the last drop off-pick up), though the last one of the day was CROWDED/PACKED. We choose to drive, since we had free parking, after one day of the shuttle (the kids wanted to try it out).

All in all, I would stay there again, if I got a good rate.
