Considering 1 week in Oahu - looking for recent visitors to Aulani. Would you recommend spending the whole week at the resort or spending a few days in Waikiki before heading to the resort? Traveling with 2 teenagers.

I would post this question in the DVC forums on this board. You will get perhaps a bigger response, as the hotel is a DVC property, and I am sure there are people who can give you some insight.

Edited to add: I just found out that this is both a resort and a dvc property, duh! However, there are lots of threads on the property in the dvc forum. It would help to look at them I think
