Just wanted to comment on the mold situation (I live on Oahu). The article in one of the posts is about a year old. The tower with the serious problem is/was the Kalia Tower, which was built relatively recently. However, they just opened the tower to guests within the past couple of weeks. I don't believe the Lagoon Tower had any problems...if there were any, they were certainly not as extensive. I just visited the Hilton a couple weeks ago, which reminded me how much I LOVE that place! Even though I live here, I stayed there once in an ocean view corner room, and when I was there the other week, we visited a suite on the 36th floor (I think it was Lagoon tower, but not sure), and the view was absolutely breathtaking! 180 degree view from Diamond Head to the Pearl Harbor side of the island!
