Looking into hawaii as a honeymoon option. Does anyone know of any good hotels or all inclusive options. I am looking for something beautiful.

Depends on what island you are looking for. I don't know anything over here that's all inclusive. Only thing that would come to mind is if you cruised, or went to like sandals in the Bahamas. Where I am the nice places would be like Turtle Bay further up on the north shore, or Hilton Hawaiian Villiage in Waikiki, or maybe even the W. Those are very nice, but also are what I would not call inexpensive. Hilton is almost like a small mall/resort/ lagoon area in itself. Meaning you have shops inside there, the hotel, and dolphins and such, so the price is not on the lower side. I live in hawaii, so I would need to know exactly what island you are looking at visiting to be of more help.:bride: :groom:

I can suggest our original plan (mind you the boat was put into dry dock the day of our rehearsal dinner, so we didn’t get to go)...but it was a Norwegian cruise that left out of San Diego sailed to Hawaii (four days) then took a seven day cruise around the island...would have been eleven days of wonderful...I found the biggest expense in Hawaii is the food, so by cruising you cut that out and can plan for more excursions…..If things go to plan it will be our first anniversary trip later this year…

I would also recommend Turtle Bay on the North Shore of Oahu. It's a nice resort where every room (I believe) has an ocean view. WAtching the sun rise from our balcony was wonderful! It's far from Waikiki so it doesn't ahve the night life and is therefore really relaxing. They do ahve deals for certain times of the year.

We've also stayed at the Marriott in Waikiki and it was really nice. Just steps from the beach, and plenty to do nearby. Plus the couples masage is wonderful! We also looked at the Hilton Hawaiian Village as it is self conatined but opted not to in the end (forget why).

We were in Hawaii this past summer and stayed at the Hyatt in Maui (my fave island), which I highly recommend. Everything was gorgeous and the hotel was right on the beach.

I've also taken a cruise to all the different islands in Hawaii...this may be a good option for you if you haven't ever been and want something all-inclusive (you would just pay for excursions). Also check into Sandals resorts...I've never stayed at one but I've heard really good things. GL!

My husband and I went on a Hawaiian cruise for our honeymoon. We were on the Norwegian ship Pride of Hawaii (which is brand new!). It was the best way to see Hawaii in a week. I would recommend it over and over again!

I'm trying to decide between a Disney Cruise for the last week of our Honeymoon or a trip to the bahamas - can anyone help me decide? I've always dreamed of going to Hawaii, as we live in the UK, but the Cruise looks so good too - and seems easier as we are already at Disney... Any thoughts? :confused3

We went to the Big Island and stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa Village. I loved it! It was a bit more family oriented though so I don't know if that matters to you. If you have ever seen Dog the Bounty Hunter, that is where he got married on the show. They also have Dolphin Quest at the hotel where you can swim with dolphins!

Also, I've never stayed there but I've heard good things about the Hyatt on Kauai.

LOL I know exactly where Dogs bail bonds is. He lives more on the other end. Don't want to give to much info on that. I am sure most prob can find him, but I am not gonna aid in it as I gotta live on the rock lol. We are doing ours at paradise cove which is near Ko Olina resort, then off to Disney a couple days after. We are taking our first trip to Disney and I am HIGHLY excited. The island here is really pretty, but you do get Island fever bad after a while since you are pretty much resigned to doing what is offered here unless you wanna fly a whole lot. I can give you tips for Oahu since that's where I am. It really is up to you on exactly which type of Island experience you are seeking. Do you want more of the beach/ nightlife, are you looking for more of the hikes and volcano thing? It really depends just what you are seeking to get out of the islands. You can also decide to split your honeymoon and stay some on Oahu and view the island I am on, and then take an interisland flight to say the big island and do some touring of the volcano. There are ways to honeymoon here on the island in a decent budget then there are ways to go honeymoon here to the extreme. It really depends like I said budget, and what you are seeking to get out of the experience.:bride: :groom:

Hi,
Right now Hawaii is our #1 choice (probably Waikiki area) for a honeymoon. We have been looking at some hotels on the Internet and in guide books. Lostgirlz, can you recommend any hotels (or ones to stay away from)? You mentioned the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the W, any others? We have read positive things about The Outrigger Waikiki -- are you familiar with that hotel?
Also, any particular luaus that you would recommend?
Thanks so much!
Jill

The outrigger is nice, also ala moana hotel that's located right in the center of things. The hilton hawaiian village is front and center in waikiki, OHHH for supreme absolute top of the line experience it would have to be the Kahala Manderin oriental that is the cream of the crop, but also it's not cheap if budget is not a huge thing I would suggest it by all means, but if it is hilton is very nice with lots to see and do there. You're on the beach, and right near the strip. You are also right near nice places to dine. For something nice I would say hilton only because of how nice it is, but not as extreme in price as the kahala might be for you. Now for something nice up on North Shore and remember North Shore is on the other end of the island, so you wont be anywhere near in walking distance to downtown waikiki, but turtle bay up there is very nice, so is Ko olina resort which is where mine is being held paradise cove up there. There are many neat fun things to do such as the Luaus, hiking up diamond head, different beaches. In the winter they hold the professional surfing comps if the waves and all are being generous. Lost is also being filmed here heh they are on the island and not hermited in their homes, so it's possible to see them. many great shopping places, and many tasty things to bring back. I always send during the holidays choco covered macadamia nuts you gotta bring those back lol. I could type out a huge thing on here on it, but might be best to tell me what you would be interested in doing. You have the memorial for Peal Harbor also. I have been, but honestly and with all respect once was enough. It's extremely sad, and a big dose of reality on what happend. DON'T do Sea Life park. NOT worth the money it's NOT even near close to what seaworld is.

My DF and I are going on the Norwegian Cruise Lines cruise around Hawaii islands for 7 days that someone previously mentioned. We found it was unbeatable for price when you consider all the food is included, and you get to see so many cool places.

We are flying from Orlando after our Disney wedding, out to Vegas, couple of days in Vegas/Grand Canyone, then Hawaii cruise, couple more days Vegas (at the Bellagio!) then home to UK.

Am totally over-excited by the whole thing! And now one of my best friends has asked if she can copy my honeymoon plan for her wedding later this year - lol! :rotfl:
