Having two separate ADR's sit together

My sister and I booked a trip at the same time. Unfortunately she didn't think that she would be able to go, so she didn't book ADR's. Something changed and now she CAN go. I've managed to get half of my ADR's switched to 8 people to accommodate her, but the other half, I've just had to get her a separate ADR for a similar time.

My question is, how likely is it that we will be able to sit together and how close in time do the reservations have to be for that to happen? 10 minutes, 20 minutes?

Also, would I have any luck contacting the reservation line and seeing if they could add three more people to my reservation, or is it the same as doing it myself online?

1. My question is, how likely is it that we will be able to sit together and how close in time do the reservations have to be for that to happen? 10 minutes, 20 minutes?

1. While 2 separate reservations would guarantee that all of you would be seated, there's no guarantee that you would be at one table since the reservations are for two separate 4 top tables. When you check in at the restaurant you can ask to be seated together and the castmembers will do their best, but depending on how busy it is when you arrive, you may have to wait longer or you may end up at nearby tables or it may not be possible and you will be at opposite sides of the room. The two reservations should be as close as possible in time. If they are 20 or 30 minutes or more apart it is possible the later group will be asked to return closer to their reservation time. As an example, at BOG parties are often asked to return no more than 5 minutes before their reservation time.

2. You can try calling the dining line to see if they can find a reservation for 8, but they see the same availability as you do when checking online. Eight is a large group so it can be challenging, but keep checking online for a cancellation. You can also subscribe to the cancellation thread for your month at the top of this forum.
