Having someone visit at your resort

Hi everyone! We will be staying at Coronado Springs and have a friend who lives locally in FL and wants to just come by our resort to grab food at one of the restaurants with us. How does this work, as far as him driving himself there without being a guest of the resort. Do they let him park there? Do they charge a fee? We always take the buses everywhere so don't know how it works with cars and visiting resorts. Thanks!

He can park there and they don't charge a fee. At the guard shack, he should just tell them he is there to visit you.

They may ask for photo ID at the guard shack, but he'll have no trouble getting in.

I would advise that you give him your room number so he can tell the gate guard he's there to visit "so and so in room XXX". Then the guard will have all the information that is needed.

Several times, I've had relatives come to a resort to pick us up on check-out day so we could visit with them for a few days post Disney. We never had problems with them parking at the resort, nor were they given a time limit for parking. They would just tell the guard at the gate who they were here for and were allowed in. Sometimes, they would spend time with us at Disney before we would head out and never had a problem with leaving the car in the parking lot as we used Disney's transportation system to get around.
