Ok we were all set to stay at Doubletree Guest Suites in a 2 br 2 queen bedded room at $134 a night. With resort fees, parking and taxes it comes out to $516.35 for 3 nights. I planned on purchasing our 4 day PHs at Last Minute Travel at $467.37. So the total for the trip was $983.72.
I got curious and checked Costco Travel and can get the Sheraton Park for $1,097.47. That rate includes premium character meals, $20 Disney gift card AND a $75 credit at the Sheraton to use in their restaurants.
On the face of it the Costco deal seems the best, but the DT gets better reviews over the Sheraton, plus we get 2 rooms which might be nice with our teenage daughter. Plus my DH needs to work part of this trip and Sheraton gets dinged for bad sound proofing and noisy rooms. Then again the Sheraton is closer to DLR. Ugh! I can't decide. Hopefully all the other over planners out there can give me some advice. Thank you!
BTW, a character meal isn't a must do for us but it would be nice to have.

When are you going? Would it be better to get the two free days at a DL resort hotel?

Usually it's a better deal to do everything on your own, book your hotel directly with the hotel, purchase your PHs from LMT, GAT or ARES. How many are in your group ~ do you really need a 2 BR suite? You could get a much better deal on a place within walking distance I bet....

Thanks for the replies. There are 3 of us. Myself, husband and DD17. No we don't "need" 2 rooms, but it would be nice. We are going June 21st thru 24th. Normally we go at a different time of year, but my DH has to attend a convention so we're tagging along...yeah!
My DH will go into the park but he will be mostly in work mode if you know what I mean. Being close to the convention center is more important than being across from DL. Trust me, I'd love to stop worrying and just book the Candy Cane, but the CCI won't fit the bill for this trip. We need a more business friendly hotel vs. family friendly.

I guess my main question is: What hotel is overall nicer for the price? Doubletree GS with 4 days Hopper @ $ 983 or Sheraton Park w/ Costco perks at $1, 097. Factoring in the fact that Sheraton has noisy rooms. I know I sound crazy fretting over little details, but oh well.

There is no such thing as a little detail ;) And as far as fretting? This place thrives on fretting. :cloud9: I haven't stayed at a Doubletree but Sheratons are nice. Its less than a $100 difference and the Sheraton credit, which I am guessing you'd use, and the Disney gc about cover that. I'd go with the Sheraton.
