Having Problems with Desktop

I downloaded the "VMK Communicator" but I can't have a wallpaper as all I get when I go to:

Start > Control Panel > Display > Desktop is the following

As you can see I can only pick colors I can't click on the pictures such as (None), Ascent,Autumn...
anyone have any idea on how I can use the pictures? I am on Windows XP.

Could you, before installing VMK communicator, change those settings ?

Nope not at all it has been like that for a few weeks now.

Sorry to come back here only now but I wanted to post but there was a problem with the board when I wanted to do it, maybe since the time you've find the solution to your problem

I don't know how much you scan your computer for viruses but it looks to come from something like that in case you did not do a virus scan, do one to be sure.
