So I'll be proposing to my girlfriend on Friday 2/6 (we arive the day before at POR), and will be sending down two of tose gigantor wedding magazines that the ladies love so much (I know she'll say yes, so its a bit of pressure off my shoulders).
However, today will most likely be the last day that I can get to the post office to send the package out without her knowing. I have a note on the pacakge to not hand it to us at check in, but rather to hold it until the 6th (and I'll mention that on my room fax as well).
Willit be a problem if it arrives in WDW about 10 days before I get there. I understand that it'll probably get put in a back room somewhere, but I thought that if I mention the package in my fax, it'll make sure that they know not to throw that package out.
Will this be a problem, or should I find some way to make a covert mission to the post office the end of next week?
Thanks!

I would call the resort directly and ask. There is a lot of room for error, in that you are asking them to receive it before you arrive and then hold it for during your stay. Is there any way possible you could have a friend overnight it to you when you are at the resort( more costly I realize, but lees chance for error)?

Good Luck!

We sent two boxes to the GF at Christmas, and I sent them early to allow for holiday delays. All worked out fine, and I liked it that I could track the package through UPS. I also called the GF after the tracking system showed they had arrived to confirm their arrival. When we checked into the room, the boxes were there waiting for us.

I think through your note and a few calls to the hotel, your wishes should be followed. But since I do like to err on the side of caution, I personally would call the resort the day before arrival, the morning of arrival, and from the Orlando airport (cell phone in the bathroom?) to remind the hotel to keep the package out of the way.

Congratulations, too! I'd love to hear about the proposal when you return.

You better call your resort and check with them.

Someone posted recently that policy had changed and Disney would not receive any packages for guests unless they had already checked in due to security reasons.

i called the front desk of POR this evening, and they said that its not a problem, so I'll probably sneak over to the post office tomorrow night. They also said to call back around the middle of next week, as our info should be in their computer by them, and they can make a note on our reservation not to hand the package to us at check in.
Thanks for the help!
