Having a small freak out...

DH and I will be arriving Tuesday 10/25 and have also been concerned about crowds. We get the party started with MNSSHP on arrival day... so excited. We plan on using rope drop and have some nice fast passes set up. This trip is very light on ADR's which I feel will give us greater flexibility to jump parks if too crowded. I am going to make a real effort to slow down and enjoy the small moments.

Be sure to give your family the little talk about getting up & out early. That whole thing about getting more accomplished in the two hours at park opening than the rest of the day is true! Have fun, and let us know how it went when you get home. :earsboy:

I've been during Spring Break and July 4th many times and I've never had a problem with crowds. I either arrive at RD or stay till close, but I'm never at the parks between 1-7PM.

There are small crowds at Rope Drop and close every day of the year, there are high crowds between 1-7PM every day of the year. Sure the time of year matters (more people on Christmas Day than Feb 30th for example), but the idea is the same.

You are going during a "low crowd time" relative to Summer, Spring Break, and Christmas. If you stay until close or get there at Rope Drop you will have no crowd problems.

Also avoid lunch from 12:30-2:00 and Dinner 5:30-7:00. Those are peak times at the restaurants.

We are just leaving today and I didn't find the crowds to be bad at all compared to other trips. I agree with everyone that rope drop is your friend, but we didn't rope drop every day. Use fast passes wisely - especially between like 1 and 5pm. We were able to get 4-6 FP+ per day and found quite a bit of availability after we used our first 3. Also just be ready to go with the flow! This trip DD loved Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, so in between FP or when the lines were long we played that. Have fun!!

I wouldn't freak out too much. Use the planning sites to plan, and then go with the flow. If it gets too busy for you, hop to another park, take a break and come back later, go check out a resort you haven't seen before, or just get a dole whip and people watch. You're still in Disney. Enjoy!

We are there10/28-11/8. I've been watching wait times. They dropped significantly on Tuesday compared to the 5 days before. So I think it was a lot of pushed back hurricane trips and fall breaks still before that.
