Having a GRAND time - The Official GF Chat Thread PART 2

We're doing this at the YC this Nov. The only really good tip I've heard is to get an appointment either first thing in the morning or right after their afternoon nap. I'm going to try around 3:30 right after nap, before our Thanksgiving dinner so everyone is dressed "nice". I just hope the sun cooperates. I've heard it can be too sunny in the afternoon and that could ruin some shots.

It doesn't hurt to mention when booking that you'd like someone good with children.

I think our appointment is for 9am, so that should work. :) I will call this afternoon to inquire about a photopgrapher who is good with children. I planned on dressing me and DD6 in white dresses and DH and DS2 in either matching RL plaid shorts or khaki shorts and white polos.

I also need to figure out where on the grounds I want them to take the photos, but I am sure the photographer or anyone on the boards will have good recommendations!

Thanks for the tips! :goodvibes

Mandy, your pics are amazing and exactly the kind of candids I am looking for!!!!!! :goodvibes Your children are beautiful and I love how you dressed them! Thanks for posting them and I am now officially excited and no longer worried about doing the photo session! I will be asking if Grace is available! :goodvibes

Oh it did help! :goodvibes Do you remember the name of your photographer by any chance? I definitely need someone who is patient, and I am admittedly a bit fussy about how photos are taken. I don't like when they look ultra staged. I prefer more natural shots. :)

How does the photopass CD work? I am going on this trip with my DAunt, Uncle, and older cousins and we were considering sharing the photopass. Is it worth it?

I have done WDW twice with DD6 - when she was 18-months old and when she was almost 4. It was amazing watching it through her eyes - she was amazed by it all, especially the princesses. I am so excited to now also see it from a little boy's perspective! What do they typically fall in love with? He loves Goofy, or "Gooty," as he calls him, but I'm betting he will not want to go within 2 feet of the characters as he is a bit of a scaredy cat!

We booked an ADR for the character breakfast at 1900 PK, and dinner at CRT, but no other character meals. Is that enough for an 8-day stay or should I consider one more?:confused3

WE did the photopass cd ($125) which had all our pictures form the photo shoot and then at the end of the week we took our photpass cards back to the photopass desk a the GF and they added the rest from our week! We also did the BBB and they added the pics the photo guy took of the girl before, during , and after the makeover! WE thought it was a great deal since my sister and I spit it and then we could print off unlimited pictures in any size we wanted!

HTH!

I like your outfit idea!

We did the inside lobby on the stair case (whick I hated btw), the beach, and the courtyard of the GF, you can also do some shots out front with the cars or monorail in teh back ground, the hammocks on the beach also are cute pics! THere is a book at the photopass desk and you can look at all the ideas!

Thanks!

Ask for FAITH not grace I noticed on the receipt when I was looking at teh price and putting the cd back in the case and she signed it FAITH! LOL, sorry! :rotfl:

If you can't get her just ask fro some one good with kids and tell em you want more candid shots!

This web site is really helpful too! I suggest if you are getting the CD then to try and get some of the magic shots! They are fun and the guide on this website tells you where they all are! http://www.stitchkingdom.com/disneysphotopass/

Good Luck :goodvibes
