Having a GRAND time - The Official GF Chat Thread PART 2

Hi GF Gals! This is my first time posting but I have been enjoying this thread as well as the GF FAQ thread for quite some time. GF FAQ thread is terrific (great job Kelly and Channing) it is always so up to date....Have an upcoming trip end of August with DH, twin DS (19) and DD(16)...Traveling with teens is always interesting!!! Also traveling with DNiece (on DIS as herecomesthe sun)her husband and DGreat Niece(6) and Dgreat nephew(2),not sure who is more fun DGnephew or the teens!!! Have been to the GF many times but have not been there during the summer in many years.We always like Oct or Nov/Dec trips (nothing like starting off the holiday season there).Now with 2 sons in college it seems that summer trips are in store for us...Have a summer time treking thru the parks shoe question, usually wear mesh Lands End sneakers in the parks but not sure if that is too hot in the summer, also have (not crocs) but Trellos(big LE fan here) but Channings posts about slippery crocs have made me reconsider the trellos too -just want to be cool and comfy. Has any one ever heard of Clark flip flops got a catalogue recently and they look like they might be a good choice.Looking foward to chatting with you all...

point me in THAT direction....forget that I am not interested in baseball I guess I could be.

I got my airfare for my trippie . I am still not sure about even going though. It feels like we just got back. The THRILL of the trip anticipation is missing KWIM??. That last trip was just too long & the desire to go back is not here at this point. We had a great time, but we are home bodies. Home is not so bad. At least it's SWA and I can cancel out if I am not feeling the need to go. We just got back from our fabulous but over LONG trip and I'm not sure what can top it.

Hi girls. Trying to catch up on the thread. We ended up going to the Dells and stayed at the Wilderness on the Lake. It was just beautiful!! There was a four seasons room with a hot tub so the girls had a blast. We enjoyed the waterpark and also road the famous Ducks and the Jetboat. We decided to stay until Monday. It was a nice weekend getaway.

Hope you are all doing well! Kelly have fun on your trip!!

Good Morning!!

No rain up here (yet) but there is a lot of fog. I got a HORRIBLE night sleep and thought I would pop on quickly.

I am still on airfare watch!! If we want to leave 6 hours early for our return flight, I can save $210, but I am still hopeful for the same rate for a LATER flight... The flight down hasn't changed yet, but all the wanna get away? lower limits are down to $89 from $159... I am waiting as patiently as I can

V- glad you had fun at the Dells! We are heading up in a couple of weeks for a day trip (its about 2 hours from here). We were supposed to stay at the Wilderness for our June Wis Dells trip but ended up at Pop instead (still hopeful that I can pull off that little beauty again next June when we upgrade to AP's this December )

Well technically not until the 14th, but yeah your right. I am such a dork and will probably get all giddy when we pass under the main entrance!

DH and I normally go the first weekend in DEC to celebrate my BD and our anniversary but I doubt that will happen this year. Then again we always end up planning a last min getaway just a few days ahead of time, which reminds me of our spontaneous pre kids years!

Sorry about the horrible sleep! And speaking of horrible...I went to bed and the Twins were up 6 - 0...they gave up 10 in the 7th and lost 10 - 6
I knew it would be a rollercoaster, but did it have to start so soon? At least you've had the thrill of first place most of the season. Our thrill (this time!) lasted a day. Oh well, there's always another day, another game!

It's awful, isn't it? Did you have to get it for work? If so, then it's no fun, since I feel like I'm tethered to it all the time. If you got it for personal reasons, then you are reading FUN emails and I envy you.

Is the bad weather in Chicago and Lousiana affecting anyone? Hope everyone stays safe!
