Just when I think I can't be shocked any more by you guys....

Actually did i tell you I used to be a cabana boy...uhh lets just drop this before we all regret it. :rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Anyone else thinking of Linda's cabana picture right now??????????????????????????

ok...all this talk about ziplocs has me thinking.....:rotfl:

Mare you seem to be the ziploc queen.....is there a size to use as a treat bag for goodies for Jojo to give her soccer girls?? I need it larger than sandwich but smaller than the storage size?:confused3 AND I AM SERIOUS!! No wisecracks from the peanut gallery. I was at Target looking today and didn't see any, but seems to me other kids have had them.

Hmm.....I am thinking of bringing a few to WDW too now;) ...only for my norway bakery almond pretzels though....I can buy one to eat and one to take back to the resort. I LOVE THOSE pretzels.

The many uses of ziplocs.....interesting.:goodvibes I do always put my toiletries in them....I use tons...in case they leak. Once we were walking thru Ohare with what looked like blood leaking out of a roller...leaving a trail:rotfl: ...it was Cherry red NiQuil. Nobody stopped us...we could have been exporting body parts:rotfl: ...that's what it looked like...from then on ZIPLOCS are my friend...they haven't ventured into restaurants though.

Chan:)

Chan, try the party section at target (or a party store) they should have those cello bags for cheap...(for JoJo, not your pretzel!!!)

K- I love your ticker!!

Mr. Mike...cabana boy. Well- I am keeping my thoughts to myself!:rotfl2:

Channing~ Stick some soccer ball stickers on your beloved ziplocs and WALA...you got yourself a treat sack!

I always get mine at the party stores if I am looking for ones a bit bigger than the cheapey ones at WalMart.

Otherwise Walmart and Target should have them.

I am lucky to get out of my resort room with my kids, purse, room keys, park tickets, huband, sunscreen and on and on to even think about bringing ziplocs. (oh...and my duck! It goes everywhere:rotfl2: )

My dd8 is so picky if I took something off the buffet she would never eat it. She likes to have her little fit and eat a hundred mickey bars, cotton candy and any other junk she cannot have at home!

My little guy too! He would scream out at the buffet- "Mommy, you can't take that for later!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Chan, that big party store by Spring Hill (Partywerks) I think sells soccer cello bags with their soccer partyware...(Factory Card might too in the back by candles etc.)

Don't worry, most of us prefer a certain pirate capt'n to be the cabana boy!

I do see a new tag in your future....... we do have our own tag fairy! :rotfl:

thanks for the tips! I have bigger things to put in them...it's our snack day and it's also the last game of the season so we wanted to do a big treatsy bag...I don't know that the stuff will fit in those cello party bags....I will see what I can find. THe soccer ones sound awesome...I have a crazy week so not sure that I will get down there.

I can't see taking anything from the buffet for my kids, either. Babies maybe ya..banana, cheerios...that's fine. My kids would want their park treats. All jojo eats at those buffets is Mickey Mac and Cheese....that would be disgusting in a ziploc.:rotfl: :rotfl: Oh...and the soft serve chocolate icecream....:rotfl:

Lucy just called...missed the bus! I am so sick of that....so I am off.

Talk to ya later,
Chan

as I said, our clothes are done..except for my new outfit that I need to iron and pack. I just have to do all the "junk" stuff and I know basically where that stuff is so I am in no real panic. I figure next week I will pull down the suitcases and throw everything in there that I will need. I have a huge hang up bag from Ebags that I LOVE... it fits 7 suits comfortable and folds down and has wheels ... really cool! I got most of Savannah and I's clothes in it..her dresses and my shirts. I folded my shorts. I got to get the socks, undies and pj's packed along with bathroom stuff.
Trying to decide how much make up to bring... to I want to be a scummy homeless person and not bring any ... or should I bring my entire tackle box full of bare minerals :rotfl2:
I am sure I will come up with something in the middle. :rolleyes1

Bring the tackle box!:thumbsup2

I use Trish McEvoy and for spring they had this giant ,quilted organizer for travel that has pouches, planners, etc. and it is HUGE!
DH was like - "WHAT is that?" when I brought it out to the car when we went to Vero in March! But it keeps everything in one place and is like a mini carryon! It WILL be going with me next week!:)

Yes, QUART size is a medium size. I also found really "pretty" ziplocks at Ikea. They are mint green and red with flowers on them. I like that they're a little larger than traditional ziplocks and they have a double zipper closure.

I've also found at Target that Hefty makes Zoo Pal ziplocks with animals on them. Okay, I am the Ziplock Queen! :rotfl2:

Hmm.....I am thinking of bringing a few to WDW too now;) ...only for my norway bakery almond pretzels though....I can buy one to eat and one to take back to the resort. I LOVE THOSE pretzels.

Before heading toward World Showcase, stop in Mouse Gears in Future World towards the back, right side of the store is the Goofy Candy Co. section. Grab a few Candy Bags. They are the perfect size for the Norway Kringla Pretzel (my favorite!). The zip top will keep it fresh too. I've done this when taking them to the airport for a snack! :rotfl:

My little guy too! He would scream out at the buffet- "Mommy, you can't take that for later!!!!!!!!!!!!"

My DS4 is a very picky eater. He'll take three bites of his meal then will say I'm done. Exactly 30 mins after we've left the restaurant, he'll want HIS meal. He's very possessive. Plus, sometimes I can't replace what he just ate if were in a different section of a theme park. It's not about being cheap (as my DH says I am) It's a matter of feeding my picky eater and having something for him when he wants it.

So now I always have a ziplock for his leftovers. If it's something like fries, hotdog, grilled cheese, etc...

Also, last year on a cruise he was sick the first few days, I would take fries off the buffet fill a ziplock and give them to him later. The buffet was usually closed the hour in between lunch and dinner exactly the time he'd want fries!

Oh, he does eat his share of Mickey bars too! It's just Disney got me into saving stuff for later by encouraging it from when he was a baby. So now, I always ask him do you want me to save this for later?? But for my little one, I take the cereal, bananas, oh and rolls - he's a bread lover! :rotfl:

I always have a few ziplocks on me in different sizes. :rotfl2:

Okay, so what do you ladies think about this tote bag?

http://www.ebags.com/fergie_for_kip...ceID=GOOGFEED&color=Yellow&CAWELAID=152915862

I found it today at Daffy's for $46. I didn't buy it but can't stop thinking about it. It's very functional and very well organized. I love the center zip pocket for my wallet. It would hold all my families stuff (I'm the keeper of the stuff). I'm just not sure about the yellow. I'm much more of a neutral color handbag person. It's a loud sunshine yellow and the material reminds me of a Fireman's jacket. Kinda shiny. But for the price, it's a deal at $46!

What do you all think??

Wendy~ Did you stay at Disney's Vero Beach Resort??

I want to plan on taking a trip there sometime. Was it warm in March?

Very cute!!! I love the Fergie for Kiping bags, they had one that goes across the body, but only in one pattern and I didn't like it!! Also you can't beat $46!!!

My boys are watching their first WDW Classic Movie: Peter Pan!

DS4 is singing "Never Grow Up" for his year end class production. So the class is obsessed with Peter Pan. Everyday he's been coming home with a different Peter Pan coloring page. He was so excited to see I bought him the DVD.

They've never seen any Disney movies not computer animated. I'm surprised they like it!

I love that movie!!!!!!!!

Ijust got my monthly from Disneymovie club with National Treasure 1 & 2 as my feature of the month. I get the rest of my movies 50% off. I am thinking off adding Dumbo to our "classics" collection.

Wendy~ Did you stay at Disney's Vero Beach Resort??

I want to plan on taking a trip there sometime. Was it warm in March?

Not Wendy, ;) but we've stayed there a few times. It's been several years but it was nice. It is very quiet. My grandparents used to live in Vero at a retirement community so we would stay at the Disney resort (they would always want us to stay with them!) but being there visiting them was our excuse to stay at a Disney resort. :rotfl: ;) I believe we were there in March a time or two. It can vary but I remember wearing shorts always on any of our Vero stays. There is a certain time that is turtle egg hatching season and I am not sure when, but we were also there during that time and they don't like you on the beach much or at all during that. Can't remember - but I remember being disappointed about beach issues. I always think the Atlantic side beaches are sooo rough compared to the Gulf coast. I prefer the beaches in Clearwater....JMO. Back when we used to go, Vero didn't have much to do. Maybe things have changed. Same with the Disney resort. It's a quiet place and laid back. I don't htink I could stay more than a couple nights there from what I remember.

Mare, thanks for the quart info!! Also the zoo pals...cute! I didn't see those today. Jojo would probably go for those if I can find them.

Peter Pan is my favorite too....especially Nana.::yes:: That will be cute with kids doing parts from it.

PS...edited to add...cute tote, Mare!

Talk to ya all later!
Chan

Thanks Channing! I think if we go we will only stay 2-3 nights. I get bored easily. I love to lounge at the pool but a few days is enough and then I am ready to go do something. I may add on a few nights next July. (longs ways away!)

By the way- forgot to tell you to have fun at the recital this weekend. I am sure it will be very cute!:)

Yes! We've gone there for Easter Break the last 3 years and we love it! We decided WDW was too crowded at that time and switched. Like Channing, my grandparents used to live there too growing up! Our home resort is VB - why am I just noticing that your home resort is BCV?

It was a little dicey this past March. We had 2 cold/rainy days but the rest of the week was great! When Easter is in April, the weather is better, less rainy, and hotter/sunnier! It can get crowded but we are early risers when we go there so we don't have trouble getting chairs at the pool.

My kids love it - tons to do for kids from tots to teens!:thumbsup2
