Morning everyone!

I bring Ziplock bags everywhere, especially to the buffets in WDW. The waitstaff actually encourages us to take snacks for the kids. The first trip (I didn't have a ziplock with me) the waitress filled two large soda cups with cheerios for my son. Ever since, I always bring ziplocks and take a banana, apple, some cereal and cookies from the buffet. I'm very discrete. I'm not shoving platters of food into extra large gallon size bags :rotfl2: I would have never of thought of this had the waitresses not encourage it.

Mare

PS I forgot to announce my DS1 (who's almost 16 months) finally starting walking on his own this weekend!!! He just wouldn't let go and all of a sudden he's walking everywhere!! I'm so happy!!! I was getting worried he wouldn't be walking for our vacation. I really want him to be able to walk to the characters, play in the sprinkler etc... I'm so happy!!! That's why I'm off to the playground!!!

Hmmm ... I never thought to take Ziplocs to the buffet for snacks! Do you use the snack size or the sandwich size?

How exciting that your son is walking! Even more fun for your trip!

- Andrea

Brook, we have 10 more days to go!

I've started THINKING about what I'm going to pack - does that count as being organized?

I noticed SWA is messing with their fares for my trip dates again! Whoohooo....several times have dropped again...I am just hanging in there waiting for more times/rate changes. Love SWA.:thumbsup2

Wow!! Yeah..you guys better start packing!!:hyper: I have stacks of MY clothes all over my room, haha..waiting to be packed. I am READY. :cool1: (well just about...I am never really ready until about 2 hrs before our limo comes)::yes::

Well..we didn't have V's storms last night....looks like some are coming in for the morning now. Its getting dark.

Jojo has her 'Dress rehearsal" for her recitals today...I will take pics to post. SHe has a fun costume with attitude. I took some the day she had her photos done but she had a 102 fever and she really looked cashed. Very glassy eyed and dazed in pink cheetah print.....not a good mix.:rotfl: :rotfl: Next year it looks like she's leaving hip hop behind and taking jazz and ballet....not sure how that will go but they said she has "potential"....:rotfl: She wants to take both, and I know it's for the costumes.:cutie:

I will talk to you all later!:goodvibes

Chan:)

Hi ladies,

Thinking about buying a new car. I just cant take my gas guzzling 20MPG Santa Fe any more!

We went and looked last night, and I wondered if any of you had opinions on any of the following:

07 Sonata with 5000 miles on it (fairly basic, but power seats, stereo controls in steering wheel, wood trim, MP3)

07 Sonata LE with 30000 miles (leather, heated seats, infinity stereo, sunroof, climate control)

05 Camry with 30000 miles (very basic)

04 Accord with 50000 miles (leather, navigation, etc.)

They are all abot the same price. I am thinking about the 07 sonata with 5000 miles. We drive 30000+ per year, so I can drive it another year than any of the others. They all have about the same ratings on Edmunds and J.D. Power. I have had two Hyundais (both Santa Fes purchsed New) and had no probelems witheither (except that the one I have now eats gas).

Anyone have this sort of midsize car. It looks big enough to put a carseat in the back (hoping to start our family right after we get married in January) but I don't really have experience with that. All I know is it gets 30 MGP instead of 20, and my car is costing $70 to fill up 3 times every two weeks!

as I said, our clothes are done..except for my new outfit that I need to iron and pack. I just have to do all the "junk" stuff and I know basically where that stuff is so I am in no real panic. I figure next week I will pull down the suitcases and throw everything in there that I will need. I have a huge hang up bag from Ebags that I LOVE... it fits 7 suits comfortable and folds down and has wheels ... really cool! I got most of Savannah and I's clothes in it..her dresses and my shirts. I folded my shorts. I got to get the socks, undies and pj's packed along with bathroom stuff.
Trying to decide how much make up to bring... to I want to be a scummy homeless person and not bring any ... or should I bring my entire tackle box full of bare minerals :rotfl2:
I am sure I will come up with something in the middle. :rolleyes1

Amy I have had both Camry's and Accord's. Both are awesome! We drove The Accord was a 92 and we drove it till 2006! We took good care of it and it took good care of us! Our neighbor bought it from us for their son 2 years ago and it is still in great condition! I do agree thought about the miles, if you put that many miles I would go with the car with lower miles!

We only have one car now and DH take the bus to work most days! so we fill our tank now just a few time a month! Gas was killing us when DH was driving to work!

Brook I can't live with out my makeup, I would bring the whole tackle box!:rotfl: I actually don't leave the house with out my train case full of Bare Minerals!

Speaking of Bare minerals, I just got two new eye shadows that I love. One is a real sheer apricot (high style) and the other is a nice dusty mauve (snazzy) that is a good summer shade! It is great for a smokey eye but not so dramatic!

Brook I have to agree with Mandy although I don't use BMinerals I take my tack box, you never know what your going to need!! Actually I have it in my carryon, because I afraid of anything melting or getting lost!!!

OK ladies I am going to venture into a topic that we have not covered!! As far as I know!!! I am a freak about hair removal!!! Bikini, legs, eyebrows, lip etc. I usually have my bikini waxed, but during the summer it sucks that you have to let it grow in inorder for it be done, besides it kills.

I just ordered an electric razor, that all I could say is OMG!!! I haven't tried it on the bottom of my legs but my thighs and bikini came out like I used a regular razor.

Panasonic Close Curves Wet/Dry Ladies Shaver

For anyone interested it is something you must try. I am going to order another one for Natalie to use now that she's shaving her legs I would feel better if it was electric.

So did you use it wet or dry?

Andrea: I would have never thought of this on my own! On my first visit with a baby (DS4 who was 11 months at the time), a waitress at the Crystal Palace handed us our check and a banana. I looked at her and she said it's for the baby. Should you want anything else, feel free to take it. My mom and I just looked at each other and thought "well... she said to take stuff" So we grabbed some grapes, an apple and a few cookies. I put the cookies in a ziplock sandwich bag that I had in my diaper bag. We ate our fruit while watching the 3pm parade. It was perfect and that was our plan for many days. Take snacks from the morning buffet and eat them at the afternoon parade.

When we returned the following year, a waitress at Cape May Buffet handed my son two large disposable cups filled with cheerios. She said "it's for the road" :) Oh and again the banana!

Ever since, I've felt comfortable taking a few small things.

Now that our family has grown, I take a bit more fruit and cookies than before, but still not more than one piece of fruit per person and maybe two or three cookies. I use the quart size slider top bags for the cookies, not that I fill the bag, I just prefer the slider rather than the ziptop. I'm very very discrete. My boys also love to munch on cereal so I'll fill a sandwich bag with their leftovers. I'm not at the dispenser with the bag! :)

When it's "for the children" no one seems to care.

I love the Goofy Candy Co. bags for storage too. They have a ziptop closure. I used one once to bring a kringla from Norway back to the airport for a snack. I love those kringla with almonds!! It fit perfectly in the Goofy bag! They're extra long! :rotfl:

YAY!!! I'm not the only "slacker"! And I've got 8 days to go!!! Haven't done anything yet!!! ;)

I'm not packed either. I pack the day before. I have to, we're wearing our summer clothes!

Mare

ok...all this talk about ziplocs has me thinking.....:rotfl:

Mare you seem to be the ziploc queen.....is there a size to use as a treat bag for goodies for Jojo to give her soccer girls?? I need it larger than sandwich but smaller than the storage size?:confused3 AND I AM SERIOUS!! No wisecracks from the peanut gallery. I was at Target looking today and didn't see any, but seems to me other kids have had them.

Hmm.....I am thinking of bringing a few to WDW too now;) ...only for my norway bakery almond pretzels though....I can buy one to eat and one to take back to the resort. I LOVE THOSE pretzels.

The many uses of ziplocs.....interesting.:goodvibes I do always put my toiletries in them....I use tons...in case they leak. Once we were walking thru Ohare with what looked like blood leaking out of a roller...leaving a trail:rotfl: ...it was Cherry red NiQuil. Nobody stopped us...we could have been exporting body parts:rotfl: ...that's what it looked like...from then on ZIPLOCS are my friend...they haven't ventured into restaurants though.

Chan:)

I completely forgot about that!! :rotfl2:

We wouldn't want Mr. Mike to see the photos of the GF Cabana Boys! :rotfl2:

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Just when I think I can't be shocked any more by you guys....

Actually did i tell you I used to be a cabana boy...uhh lets just drop this before we all regret it. :rotfl:
