Since we will be offsite at Disney before heading to Universal and HRH for a few days, we will have car. I'm thinking its best to just keep the car for the extra two days even though we won't need it (too much hassle to find a place to return it, better long term rental rates, and we would have to pay to get to the airport).
How does the parking work at HRH? Is the parking the same parking as the Theme Park parking decks?....I hope not! Will we be able to drive up in front of the HRH, send one person inside to check-in, then be directed to close by hotel/overnight guest parking? :confused3
Thank you!!
Jill

BTW, anyone know of any car rental desks on site anywhere at Universal property? If so, we would rent from them and possibly return the car rather than keeping while at Universal.

Parking is available at the hotels. It is $12/nt for self and $18 for valet.

Hertz has rental locations at the resorts.

We just had a similar thread on this.

Car rental companies usually charge more for a drop off at a different location.
If you take the car back to the airport, you'll need a limo to the HRH and back.

The convience factor makes up for the parking fee at the hotel.

Yes, you can drive up and unload your car, many people do this. You'll see a bunch of valet people. They'll ask if you need help. Say no thanks, and drive a few feet past them and stop on the curb to unload.

Parking is located on each side of the hotel, it's not a garage. The only thing, is that the parking lot fills up and most end up on the curb. Here's what it looks like

Wow! You have pictures of everything! Seeing a picture really helps someone who has never been. Thanks so much.

Did I read correctly....I will have to pay $12 a day to park my car? :confused3 We are planning our first trip to Universal - 3 days at HRH. Asking hotel guests to pay to park along a curb seems a bit tacky.
