Haven't seen this mentioned...the smell...

Anyone else love the smells in the attractions as much as I do? Especially the ones in MK. There's just something about it. Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Space Mntn, just to name a few.

Also the music. The sounds waiting in line @ Space Mntn. are among my favs. TTA too. "Paging Mr. Morrow. Mr. Tom Morrow..." When I was a Cast Member at the Main Entrance @ Epcot Center, I LOVED the music they played. At night, when it was slow, I would stand there, listening to the music, getting teary eyed, not only because of where I was, but because I was actually a Cast Member. Great memories...

I'm with you. There are just certian things that remind me of WDW and the smells are one of the strongest. My DS and I just downloaded the monorail audio on Saturday and loved listening to it over and over. DH says we need help. I say we need to go to WDW.

my son and i are like that too. we watch the TTA video on youtube all the time and when the space mountain sounds come on, we just smile at each other. on the flip side, he doesn't like watching it cause it makes him want to be there NOW!

I love the smells and sounds of WDW! My favorite is the smell on Spaceship Earth. I also love watching the Splash Mountain video on YouTube. It makes me happy just thinking about it!

I really like the musty water smell from PoC and IASM. Once I smell that I know that back home at WDW.

Haha I hear ya! Some of the smells I love and some I don't necessarily love but I recognize them. My husband laughs because I will be somewhere and I'll stop and say "I smell Splash Mountain!" ...but the best smell is probably in the Blue Ribbon Bakery...yum! I even love the smell of the popcorn stand at the end of main street even though I am not that into popcorn.

Disney smells came up with us today!!

I was cleaning with bleach, and both my 4 year old twins came in the room sniffing and they said "Mommy we smell the fun Disney pool! Remember Mommy" That made me feel happy knowing that a smell made them happy and reminded them of Disney.

Ah yes...the smells of Disney!

The heater coming on in your room on a chilly night for the first time.
A Monorail car on a hot afternoon. (or anyday for that matter)
A packed queue on the same day.
The packed bus ride back to the resort that night.
Stitch's chili burp.


I think I'm gonna cry!

But seriously, most of the other smells are heavenly!

I know exactly the smell you're talking about.
Every so often I'll get a whiff randomly of something that smells similar and it gives me the WDW blues!!!

I LOVE he musty water smell of Splash & PoC & El Rio!! looove it!
Whenever I go to the Rainforest Cafe in Toronto I get that smell coming from the water fountain and it sends me to cloud nine!!

Or the smell of space, the monorail, spaceship earth & even some of the stores. Maybe it's the AC?? I really have no clue where that glorious smell comes from, but I really wish that I could bottle it and use it as a room spray @ my house!!

yeah, soarin' has great smells...they used to have that orange smell in horizons or world of motion. can't remember which. it was in a scene where they were harvesting oranges.

I am with you all!! I love the smell of POTC, Spaceship earth, the water in Splash Mountain. I love the music at the AKL!!! Thats my favorite. I like music waiting in line at BTMR. And the Dreams commercial music!!

I can't tell you how often I breathe in and think, "It smells like Disney World!" Mostly, it's around fountains...that water smell. But the other day the people in the apartment downstairs were cooking something that smelled EXACTLY like the inside of The Land pavilion.

Ahh, the music. I could just sit on a bench all day and listen to some of the music in the background. In fact, 95% of my Itunes music is Disney music.

My most memorable smell is the one that blasts you in the face when you walk in to The Land pavilion in Epcot. There's a weird yeasty smell in the air from the baking downstairs that mixes with the strong air conditioning and all the other food smells. It's a little weird at first but for some reasons some of my most vivid dis-memories are in The Land for no other reason I can think of other then that unique smell and the fantastic layout.

I'm with you on this one. I don't usually like the smells disney "blows" at you in some attractions, but the ones in Soaring are so subtle and delicious - I love 'em!
