We are going back in September, I am trying to plan dinner plans, Animal Kingdom closes at 7:30 the day we are going. What nighttime shows do they have now? I was going to make reservations at one of the resorts, but I know they were working on Rivers of Light, but do they have fireworks there now yet? I also heard about the Jungle Book nighttime show, but heard it was only running for a limited time. So wondering if we should make a ressie in the park so we don't miss anything, or just go out of the park to eat? Thanks!

They will not be offering fireworks at DAK. They would disturb the animals.

For the nighttime show... we don't know if Jungle Book -or- Rivers of Light will be running in Sept. (it will be one or the other, but not both.)

Ignore the current "closing time" of 7:30.
They will likely change the closing time between now and then.
The earliest they can start the nighttime show in Sept. will be 7:30PM.
The running time of the show would be 20-30 min., plus another 15-30 min. to exit.

So, if you want to book a restaurant after the show:
You should not book in or near DAK before about 8:15-8:45PM.
You should not book away from DAK before about 9:00-9:30PM.

Also check closures, I believe dinosaur will be closed in sept for refurb. Not sure if anything else is on the schedule at AK.

Dinosaur is the only thing currently listed for closure.

Kind of aggravating that Disney can't get the park hours listed properly further in advance.

That happened to us last year with fireworks. We planned for Wishes to be at 9 like it was stated at California Grill, but then it was changed to 8.

We left for dinner at Boatwright's, then came back. We saw some of the Jungle Book show from the walkways, and it didn't look like anything we'd use an FP on.

However, I have three words for you: "Everest at Night".
