Have you worked from DVC

Thanks! I like your answer.:cool1:

Our guest in July will be doing this and I hope there wont be any issues.

Just check your connection the moment you get comfortable in the room so if there is an issue Disney's TS can resolve it before it becomes an "oh no!" situation.

ETA: Also check your friend's cell phone connectivity if that's important for work. I never had any issues until I stayed 1st floor at the end of VWL closest to the lodge. No cell phone connectivity from that room at all. Didn't matter much for me as I wasn't working that trip.

My very dedicated DH works every morning before we head to the parks. No connection problems from AKV or BWV.

It sure is funny how times change. I remember just a few years ago posing this question here about internet connectivity and working from Disney and getting many, MANY comments like, "You're on vacation! You're not suppose to work!"

Could my company survive a week without my finger on the pulse? I sure hope so! I just don't see any need to take the chance. ;)

I do agree with the others that have commented referencing the speed of the internet connections. The performance is horribly slow and almost unbearable if you're running a VPN. While they are certainly usable, they also leave a lot to be desired. I keep thinking and hoping performance will be addressed but as of now, I only have hope.

I do it all the time. Good cell phone reception and never a problem with connection for my PC. I have a small portable Cannon printer and can do anything I need.

Trying to finish my Master's and generally one has to attend every class, so I've had a great time 'attending' class via Skype on my laptop with World of Color outside my window. Internet worked great, was able to stream audio and download/upload presentations and everything. :thumbsup2

I've worked on most of our vacations. One time I had connectivity issues, but got them resolved through the Disney and my company's IT departments. As soon as we arrive I get set up on the desk in the bedroom, and feel comfortable that I can work without bothering people in the living room. It's really great to have the space.:thumbsup2

All the time. Half of one of my Owner's Lockers is comprised of office stuff: router, printer, paper, stapler, paper clips, Tums, Pepto Bismol, etc.

You can even find me by the pool, under an umberella, with laptop in hand.
