Okay so I understand the concept of Layaway of course but I have read TRU's policy online and it's kind of confusing. Mostly because they haven't updated it completely to include all toys. Got an email today and it's still confusing.

So have you used them since the changes? Can you explain how the process works? Unlike Wal-Mart the items aren't held in the store, is that correct? You pay shipping charges? Weird. Help! :goodvibes

The new policy now includes all toys, I placed my my layaway last week and I am very happy with it, the only items not allowed clearanced items. 20% down with a $5 fee. The previous policy was VERY limited mostly large purchases like a swing set, gaming console, Ipods, play kitchens, and bikes. Now theres no dollar limit I even put 2 sticker books for 3.99 my total was well over $500 with 4 kids, I was not limited to only get items over $15. Im glad TRU brought on their layaway.

Okay so did they charge shipping even when bought in store? That seemed a bit odd to me. Also when is the holiday pick up date? Thanks!!

Opps sorry, I do not see where online layaway was available. I went to the store and did a regular layaway, they bagged my stuff in layaway bags and tagged them with my receipts. Im a little confused about this online layaway your talking about?

Ok that answers my question then.

No, I didn't mean you could use layaway with online. See, with their old layaway (when just the big ticket items) when you bought in store they charged a shipping fee. It was weird. They said they didn't keep any layaway in store that it was all kept off site and you had to pay for shipping. So I'm glad to hear they aren't still doing it that way. I didn't want to pay for all that shipping. They haven't updated their website so it still talks about the shipping fee.

Thanks! :goodvibes
