Have you used a Disney Gift Card for deposit?

My TA was trying to pay my deposit today using a gift card and was having a heck of a time getting it processed. I spoke to the gift card people and there shouldn't be a problem, but for some reason the reservations CM isn't doing it right. Did anyone else have a problem? How did you get it resolved? Thanks!

I've done it and didn't have a problem. However, I booked my trip directly with Disney. I went online and made the payment on the website.

are your gift cards purchased from a disney store or from some fundraising for your school? Our school sells them (along with tons of other gift cards), I didn't think I could use them to pay for the deposit or the trip. I just got them to use for dining, souveniers, etc. Wish I would have seen your post before I paid my balance about a week ago.

momto2 - They were from the Disney Store. However, I would think that if yours can be used at the parks, they can be used for reservations as well.
