Making restaurant selections for trip next year and lookingat Menus would like to hear oppinions on some menu choices. I know it's relly early! but we dissers like to be prepared!!
La Cellier.. Crab & salmon appetizer
Capt. Jacks Crab cakes appitizer
Raglan Road Seared Scallops ..appitizer and the Lemon sole entree, Dessert's Baileys coffee pot & Ger's bread pudding???
I'm still deciding on other restaurants but am liking Biergarten, Crystal Palace,& Boma any comments on them would be welcome. Thankyou

I had the Crab Cakes appetizer at Cap'n Jacks and I loved them. Crystal Palace is a character buffet and I would definately recommend this as the food, we've found, is excellent plus you get Pooh and co as an added bonus. Can't say about the others as we've never tried them. Sorry I can't be more help to you.

Thanks I've been to CP and also loved it they have some really tasty and differnt dishes and the desserts were yummy!!

Anyone have the Lobster at Jack's? and I'm now looking at lunch at San Angel in Mexico I hear the ceviches(Spelling) are great. Any other tipson this and Raglan Road appreciated!!

I can tell you that we are Raglan Road fans - have not had those specific dishes but the food is great - I think it's a great one to hit before everyone else finds out about it

We love biergarten - another buffet of course - and you will end up sitting with another party - I don't know what the cut off is - we were a party of 5 and ended up sitting with another couple. Great German-based food!

I was going to try the crab & salmon too in a couple of weeks at LeCellier but thier menu has changed.

I may well be solo , I did not know they seated you with others but I LOVE the idea, I'm not the shy type so would welcome meeting others. As for Raglan I am poss. looking at lunch. Probably Bangers and mash I grew up on those , but I also liked the Sole which isn't on the Lunch menu. I liked the scallops on a fork too . Anyone any comments on the Bangers and the scallops??

I wouldn't make your ressies based on 1 or 2 menu items that you're seeing now. Menus can and do change, so if you pick a place just to try 1 thing, you may be setting yourself up for disappointment.

I had the scallops and was not impressed. It could have been a bad night they probably would have been more enjoyable if they were warm.
